RE: Maps of Sabi Sand Coalitions Males and Prides - Potato - 06-15-2018 "Even so, she still represents an iconic pride. Even though the situation is hard, she could potentially bounce back." You're right, but for now she is no pride by its definition. What comes to map then also Mhangeni pride disappeared ( to be clear Mhangeni sub adults and Mhangeni prider isn't the same) and Northen Avocas are with Talamati pride. One was seen last time attempting to mate with the Birmingham males, but she was wacked by her daughters. (06-15-2018, 11:51 PM)IñigoMontoya Wrote: Do you know where is the SELATI PRIDE? It's the southern pride. They're still in sabi sabi, at least they are still seen by them, but I don't know how much of the land they patrol now that they don't have territorial males to care for them. That's why they keep moving so much within it. RE: Maps of Sabi Sand Coalitions Males and Prides - Potato - 07-06-2018 Did you thought perhaps about making this map bigger? I mean adding for example Tintswalo Safari Lodge? I mean adding for example Tintswalo Safari Lodge? Well, in the future maybe i could add Timbavati zone or KNP. But i will need time for it. So KNP there are little information of prides and males because its a huge zone. RE: Maps of Sabi Sand Coalitions Males and Prides - Matimbalani - 07-09-2018 @IñigoMontoya Thanks for all the hard work with the maps. This is a great help for new comers like me. RE: Maps of Sabi Sand Coalitions Males and Prides - Potato - 07-09-2018 Yeah, but no one force you to do that all alone :) I guess with help of other users with me included (as much as I can because my knowledge is limited) we could get some information here and put them together and then when you would have some time and willingness you could put it on the map. RE: Maps of Sabi Sand Coalitions Males and Prides - IñigoMontoya - 07-11-2018 Now Charleston males have returned is hour to put into the map. Anyone know the name of the second Charleston name?. (One is Mazino but another....) https://qgiscloud.com/JuanFP/SABI_SANDS/ RE: Maps of Sabi Sand Coalitions Males and Prides - cpf27 - 07-18-2018 (07-11-2018, 10:45 PM)IñigoMontoya Wrote: Now Charleston males have returned is hour to put into the map. RE: Maps of Sabi Sand Coalitions Males and Prides - Gabriele GLG - 07-18-2018 In my opinion a representation of the territories would be more useful and interesting, than the last position recorded, regarding territorial lions(coalitions and prides). In fact lions move continually into their territory. Obviously when territories change in a appreciable way, it would be useful to change the map RE: Maps of Sabi Sand Coalitions Males and Prides - IñigoMontoya - 07-19-2018 (07-18-2018, 09:41 PM)Gabriele GLG Wrote: In my opinion a representation of the territories would be more useful and interesting, than the last position recorded, regarding territorial lions(coalitions and prides). Whats territories/zones are controlled by BB? Matimbas? Avocas?. So there are a problem. For example Charleston males are back and chase Avoca males. Avoca males lost the territory?. And if the charleston males go to KNP again the territory is who?. I will try. RE: Maps of Sabi Sand Coalitions Males and Prides - Gabriele GLG - 07-23-2018 I admit it's not so easy but the territories of the coalitions are (I think ) : b boys between londolozi, mala mala and eastern singita, southern avoca between western part of kirkman, Eastern part of lion sands and southern part of mala mala; matimbas in western singita and in the western sector; northern avocas in djuma torchwood buffelshoek and southern manyeleti RE: Maps of Sabi Sand Coalitions Males and Prides - Potato - 08-05-2018 Nkuhuma Pride is currently in Djuma Styx are in Chitwa Chitwa Also I see you added Manyeleti so lets put something into it :) Talamati pride is with Northen Avoca Males on the south of Manyeleti, around Buffelshoek I think. Mbiri Pride and Nharu are I think around Tintswalo Game Lodge Ximughwe pride is in Singita Tsalala/Marthly males were seen recently at Lion Sands GR That last may be very intrested considering there are also Charleston and Avoca males. PS Where did you get Information about Mfumo got back Torchwood? Ximughwe Pride has another name? https://qgiscloud.com/JuanFP/SABI_SANDS/ If Tsalala/Marthly males form a big coalition of 5 males with 2 south Avoca males they will be unstoppable. About Tsalalas and Avocas I think confrontation is far more likely than forming 1 coalition from 2. |
