The Asian black bear's range overlaps with that of sloth bears in central and southern Indiasun bears in Southeast Asia and brown bears in the southern part of the Russian Far East. Ussuri brown bears may attack black bears, though Himalayan brown bears seem to be intimidated by the black species in direct encounters. They will eat the fruit dropped by black bears from trees, as they themselves are too large and cumbersome to climb.

The emboldened part is sort of incorrect... Sloths haven't been recorded at altitudes higher than 500m & (Himalayan)blacks don't live below that. Their habitat range overlap is minimal & mostly in the hills of northeast with the Indo-Chinese subspecies.

Himalayan Brown bears are notoriously shy and very elusive. On a trip through Garhwal, I caught a glimpse of it on my way to Valley of flowers during my school days. Either I was severely dehydrated and hallucinated the whole thing, or I saw one of the most elusive big mammals on the planet. Any way, this group of guys wanted to document a Himalayan Brown Bear waking up from it’s hibernation. Take a look at this big male:

Sink or swim for this Himalayan Brown bear cub. Drass, Ladakh (coldest place in India with temperatures dropping to -45C most winters, but once went as low as -60C in 1995).

Himalayas are where all four can be found, although not necessarily together.
Sloth bears can be found at Terai & Shiwalik foothills, while Sun bears are found in the lower Himalayas of North Eastern India. Himalayan black bears found all over there range and brown bears only at northern ranges adjoining Tibetan pkateau.
