Apparently, the Plains Camp males have returned in the west and announced their presence. We will have to wait and see if they will encounter the Birminghams again.

Things are really to be shaping that way. This is all very very positive with the exception of the Sub Adult’s safety. the reports said she was just a bit away about 100m w the limping lioness. In the video that this capture came from, you can hear the guide say that he saw one lioness w heavily scarring in her back.

Maybe he was reffering to Sassy. There is video of sub and limping female, they are alright.
I mean, in theory, they could adopt the sub, as all females are available for mating, and females could protect her, but yea.

Its only a matter of time before they take the pride. The Manghenis pretty much live in their territory now.
Though I agree its just one meeting. I think we need to wait a bit longer to know for sure.
That pride has hung out with males before without a takeover happening. Like the Nwas earlier this year.

This might be the best for the sub of the OM.... If the females submit and/or go into heat, showing a lot of passivity, then the sub ought to be safer. After all, the whole purpose of killing cubs/subs of other prides is to bring the females into heat and induce their receptivity. The Southern Pride lioness showed a lot of willingness to mate and then quickly went into heat with her subs less than 2! If she had chosen to run and not interact while they were taking over the territory, then they might have tried to eliminate her daughters as obstacles. If the the PC males chose to kill the lone sub anyway, despite the willingness of the lionesses, it's just a shame because there is absolutely zero reason....but as we all know, some males really have a deep-rooted instinct to kill perceived competition in their aim to 'takeover.' The fact that there are no males around the pride, too, might help a lot! They do not have to chase away a protector who is obviously the sire, triggering the killing instinct towards his offspring.
Let's see if their strategy to slowly accept the males by not running away pays off for the young lioness in the end. Really hope this is the case! It will be disappointing otherwise....

He is not their pride male, he just takes opportunities when they are "free".

Offcource still nothing concrete enough to declare him as such for sure and its all to early to tell.
But still curious how this is going to pan out.
