Faculto and Cachilapo, two of the resident dominant males at Hato la Aurora, Colombian Llanos. These males' territories overlap and here we see them checking the same area at different times. Cachilapo is particularly huge although Faculto is also very big.

See the very different coat patterns between these two males. Faculto has much larger rosettes with thicker outlines and multiple dots within, whereas Cachilapo has smaller rosettes with thinner outlines and no dots within.  The coat pattern between jaguars varies greatly.

@Balam
Male jaguar Faculto back in a post made in September by La Aurora Reserva Natural (FB)

I don't know how recent this footage is

RE: The Llanos Jaguar - Balam - 11-22-2023

@Ngonya it's recent! He's still in the area.

I want to see footage of Caricare, though. I might ask them to share some with us since he's such an impressive jaguar but with very little footage publicized. I know you prefer the lion-like cursorial Llanos jaguars (did you see Faculto's lioness-like frame when he stood up?), but Caricare has a more standard hyper-robust build, I find him very imposing.

I have the official guide for jaguars from La Aurora, let me know if you want it.

That's good, impressive male seems to be in the absolute prime of life!

You can send it if you want of course. All jaguars are beautiful to me, even though I have my preferences.
