Dreadlock DeLaporte and the 'shy' Nkhulu #4, around late 2023

Dreadlock has been missing since April and guides at Kirkman's themselves say 6 Nkhulus are often seen but the old man hasn't shown up for months. Can only hope he went out peacefully.

Nkhulu #4 is said to be accounted for and all 6 brothers should be fine, yet we have had no pictures of him for the past two months, being his most recent shot posted around june 15.
There were recently 5 Nkhulus together and over the last two months (almost three) all brothers were pictured around Kruger and Sabi Sand, except for him.
Hopefully he is just a bit shy and will show up eventually.

Was it ever figured out, who the lone male was, that the Nkhulus chased across the river, into Lion Sands?

We'll probably never have it confirmed but I can only imagine that it was a Gijima male since he roared and what not.

Can the N'Was scatter them?  There are a LOT of cubs and subs in Mala Mala

MalaMala is Nkhulu territory too. They are not necessarily invading Ndzhenga's area.

But if it comes to a conflict i hope Ndzhengas can chase them away, as you say theres alot to lose at Kambula pride.

I hate to even say it, but these guys do look somewhat unhealthy.  TB?

Also, it looks like their overall condition keeps going up and down, and not in the usual way that happens due to changing seasons, prey migrations, etc.

It seems like their health issues are here to stay.

We don't have any diagnosis but their condition is nothing new. It has been mentioned and pointed out for 10 months now.

More footage on the Nkhulu invasion at Ndzhenga's territory from last month.
