"Floppy Ear/Mandleve was seen alone last night, contact calling for the rest of the Southern Pride, but was unsuccessful in her efforts as four of the females, the cubs and the two Charleston males were sleeping far away from where they were yesterday evening."

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, yesterday 05 April 2016:
"After spending the day sleeping in a Tambotie Tree thicket, the Southern Pride's two cubs spent some time playing with the group. This morning the males had separated from the females and were moving together through the reserve."

"Wow, what a sensational sighting we had last night on the reserve! Our guests sat in awe as we watched the Charleston male lions pull down an old buffalo bull! The power of these animals is just incredible."

This morning the two Charleston males were still feasting on the buffalo which they killed a couple of nights ago and there’s not yet any sign of the females in the nearby area.

"The one Charleston male, along with four Southern Pride females and two cubs, missed an opportunity hunting a waterbuck bull so they made their way to a fallen Marula Tree to clean some nails!"

"It seems like the two Charleston males went on a territorial patrol last night as they were found far from the females this morning. While approaching a waterhole, they bumped into two large buffaloes, but decided against trying their luck so they moved off a short distance to rest. Maybe tonight we’ll see some action."
