RE: Tiger Directory - Apollo - 05-08-2014 Name : T1=Kallu =Kallua Location : Bhandavgarh National Park Year of Birth : Nov 2007 Ancestry : Son of B2 and Mirchaini Status : Unknown Sex : Male Species : panthera tigris tigris Born in the monsoon of 2007, Kallu was one of two sons born to mother Tulsi (R10) and father Sundar, and was bought up in the Mirchani area of his mother’s territory. He was the smaller and less aggressive of the two brothers, which meant that as he grew towards maturity, he was increasingly at odds with his brother Mallu (T2). As Kallu grew up, it was often noted that he was increasingly hungry as his brother guarded his food jealously, not letting Kallu feed. This meant that he increasingly resorted to eating dangerous food like porcupine to satisfy his hunger. When he left his mother, Kallu stayed in the hills of Tala, moving from Mirchani to Ghorademon while his domineering brother went towards Sher marg in Magdhi. Kallu was often intimidated by his father Sundar and other dominant male Shashi and was no longer welcome in the area. He left the park in early November 2010 and we have not seen him since. *This image is copyright of its original author RE: Tiger Directory - Apollo - 05-10-2014 Name : See-off Location : Corbett National Park Year of Birth : Unknown Ancestry : Unknown Status : Live Sex : Male Species : panthera tigris tigris The reason See-off has this name is because if you come heads up to him and he has no passage to his sides, he charges and make sure to "see you off"! He doesn't mind if you follow him but never likes it if you are coming at him. He has a beautiful orange coat and is the dominant male in the khinnanauli range. See off has taken over "Bhola's" territory. He is a very romantic male and shares his territory with "Sharmele" the tigress. See-Off lost one of his canines during the territorial battle with Bhola. *This image is copyright of its original author RE: Tiger Directory - Pckts - 05-12-2014 Nice info on See-off. You should do Tyson next. He is probably the largest tiger to ever come out of corbett. RE: Tiger Directory - Apollo - 05-12-2014 (05-12-2014, 03:56 AM)'Pckts' Wrote: Nice info on See-off. It would be great if someone can provide us with a right side and front shots of Tyson. RE: Tiger Directory - Apollo - 05-12-2014 Name : T-39=Noor=Mala Location : Ranthambore National Park Year of Birth : 2008 Ancestry : Daughter of T13 tigress and T12 male tiger and sister of T38 male tiger Status : Live Sex : Female Species : panthera tigris tigris Known as Mala (Hindi for ‘necklace’) due to the decorative bead-like stripes on her flanks. Growing up in Guda/Sultanpur, the southernmost part of the park, she was popular among tourists who enjoyed seeing her as a cub. Soon after separating from her mother at the age of 2, her mother had another litter of two cubs with T12 who was soon after relocated to Sariska in 2010. As a result, Mala's father’s territory fell vacant and Sultanpur (T24) took over. Now, her mother's new litter was in danger, threatened by the new male who would try to kill her cubs. The new family left the area, allowing Mala to take over her mother’s territory under the domain of the Sultanpur male T24. *This image is copyright of its original author RE: Tiger Directory - sanjay - 05-12-2014 (05-12-2014, 04:13 PM)'Apollo' Wrote:(05-12-2014, 03:56 AM)'Pckts' Wrote: Nice info on See-off. Thank you very much prathap for doing hard work and making this thread. Bhola ruled Khichar area of Bijrani, but later he was chased off by Khali. Bhola then moved to khinnanauli range and recently a much bigger new male tiger called "see-off" expelled him out of his territory. Bhola was initially thought to be dead, but he appeared couple of months later. Bhola was not seen after June 2012 and many say he passed away. *This image is copyright of its original author RE: Tiger Directory - Apollo - 05-14-2014 Name : C9=Mukunda Location : Bhandavgarh National Park Year of Birth : 2009 Ancestry : Son of Bokha male tiger and Chameli tigress, brother of C10 and C11 Status : LIVE Sex : Male Species : panthera tigris tigris Mukunda was born in mid-winter of 2009 and grew up in the Baghdalaka cave (where tiger footprints are said to be found on its roof) and spring area with his two siblings - sister C11 and brother C10. The fourth litter of Chameli and Shaki, Mukunda's sister was killed when she was 18 – months – old – the victim of another tiger moving in the area. Mukunda male is the one who defeated Bokha and took over his territory. Injuries caused by Mukunda led to Bokha's death. Mukunda male is considered to be a very aggressive and a ferocious cat by the park officials. *This image is copyright of its original author RE: Tiger Directory - Apollo - 05-14-2014 (05-06-2014, 09:47 PM)'Pckts' Wrote:(05-06-2014, 09:59 AM)'Apollo' Wrote:(05-06-2014, 03:23 AM)'Pckts' Wrote: A little more info Jhumroo Yeah many say Jhumaroo is a very large tiger. Either it should be different tigers or the image should be rotated vertically (turing the left side to right side or vice versa). Do check it and let me know. Thanks @Roflcopters @Rage2277 @Kingtheropod RE: Tiger Directory - Apollo - 05-14-2014 Name : Singham Location : Enclosure inside Bandhavgarh NP at Magdhi zone Year of Birth : November 2009 Ancestry : Son of Bokha tiger and Jhurjhura tigress Status : Live Sex : Male Species : panthera tigris tigris On 19th of May 2010 when Jhurjhura was killed, the cubs were orphaned and were on their own for 4-5 days. that's when the forest department saw the situation and decided to move these cubs into an enclosure at magdhi zone. One of the cub was Singham, a very heavy and huge male. *This image is copyright of its original author RE: Tiger Directory - Pckts - 05-14-2014 (05-14-2014, 02:49 AM)'Apollo' Wrote:(05-06-2014, 03:23 AM)'Pckts' Wrote: here's Machali's first Husband from Ranthambore that is no more, a huge male known as Bamboo Ram. I'm sure I can be mistaken, I only use photos in which they specifically state the tigers name. That being said, the facial patterns on the first two are identical and the third is the only one where the tiger is standing at a side profile and you cannot compare its side stripes to the 2nd one since one is laying down which will bring stripes closer together or wrinkle them, etc. I could definitely be wrong as well.
