Very nice photo at the #46 and #47 ! We could believe that, after all, there aren't any difference between Gir and Ranthambore during the dry season: very short green, lot of sparsely-leaved trees...

Normally the octopus camouflages itself very very well. But not this one, the "blue ring octopus"... And this for a good reason, it is deadly venomous. And more its bite is painful.

SNOW LEOPARD

Endangered species and best seen at Hemis National Park in Ladakh and Spiti valley in Himachal Pradesh. It is marginally small then the common leopard and the name snow leopard is very apt for it as it lives in the snow covered areas. often solitary, although overlap of home ranges of males and with other males and with females have been seen.

Despite being a large carnivore, the harsh terrain and climate forces it to have a wide dietary range and that includes birds, rodents and wild goats like blue sheep and also small alpine mammals animals like marmots, pikas and hare are its diet.

It is found thru the Himalayas from Jammu and Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh and the trans Himalayan of Ladakh, Lahaul-Spitu, Gangotri and Two Lhasa, Its range closely approximates the geographical range of its prey, the Bharal and the Ibex.
