That is a Rocky Mountain Elk.

As can be seen from this study, there were three Sambar stags killed by a Leopard in Yala National Park, Sri Lanka. Also, the occasional wild boar.

Very impresive feat of the leopard to kill an adult Sambar, but I don't think than that Sambar was of 300 kg, maybe 200 kg at the most. Plus, we can't see if this was a male or a female, and the article do not say it.
Regarding the other article about Sri Lanka, the Sambar of the island is smaller than those from India/Nepal, with a maximum weight of 475 lb (215 kg) and less on average, and leopards in the island can reach up to 250 lb (113.4 kg), with an average of 124.1 lb (56 kg) ih the males.

Overall, leopards only rarely killed donkeys (3.6% of kills) and rarely killed adult cattle (of leopard cattle kills, 6.7% were adults, 43.3% were yearlings and 50.0% were calves). Of leopard kills, 55.4% were goats, of which 78.2% were adult.

Amur leopard killed a cow:
"A North China Leopard (Panthera pardus fontanierii) has been captured in a 15-second video while preying on a cow on a mountain in Heshun County, north China's Shanxi Province, reported the Beijing Youth Daily on Saturday.
A farmer found the remains of the cow and reported to the local environmental protection authority at once. Officials at the authority believed it might have been killed by a North China Leopard and the animal was very likely to return to deal with its prey. Thus, they installed a camera on the spot and caught the scene of a leopard enjoying its dinner."

Leopard kills crocodile:
"leopard killing a baboon or a crocodile catching something in the water, are sights not seen in the wild every day! When we heard the baboons alarming calls, we had no doubt that a leopard had just killed something, but we weren’t prepared for what had actually happened. Getting into position to see the leopard was quite a challenge initially due to some thick vegetation, but then we saw some movement and a brief view of a crocodile of about 6 – 7 foot, walk across a small gap in the brush. A blur of spots and dust followed, as a large male leopard jumped onto and killed the crocodile! He then dragged the croc back towards a thicket, giving us a glimpse of it as he did. I could see that the leopard had ripped a large portion of the side of the crocodile’s throat out. This, I imagined, he had already started to do in a previous attempt before we got there. I say this, because when we saw the “pounce” and heard the commotion, it was not long before the croc was dead and the leopard was already dragging it off…far too quickly for it to have been a first attempt!"

Cow killed by Leopard:
"Coimbatore: More than 300 employees working at the Manicka estate near Valparai were in for a shock as a cow was reportedly killed by a leopard here.
The cow belonging to Madasamy, an estate worker was tethered inside the shed when the leopard attacked. Other cows that were in the shed fled the scene fearing the leopard.
Foresters confirmed the incident after inspection. This is the second attack of leopard on cattle after a cow belonging to Vasuki, was killed a week ago.
Meanwhile, people have requested foresters to relocate the leopard as soon as possible."
