I don't agree.  He looks very unlike Ginger Matimba to me.  The nose shape and ridges, plus the eye shape and colour matches more with HB Matimba.  In addition, his littermate sister looks a lot like HB, too.  Of course, cubs in a litter could have different sires....

Shaka Mbiri mating with a Birmingham female!
Dunno which one, but there are some young females that are over 3 years old and the sister of Birmingham Young Male has two subadults that are already over two years old.

Interesting development here. If Mbiris takeover Birmingham pride, it will be good for genetics as Ross males will start to inbreed with their daughters if they remain in powerl

I remember someone on here (don't recall who), saying it was supposedly not harmful when it happens one generation out (fathers/daughters), though obviously not preferable. I do hope that there are scientists on the ground studying Loonkito, the 19 year old wild lion. He is, apparently, now breeding with his great grand-daughters. Given I somehow doubt we will have another opportunity to observe this in nature again, I believe that situation is an incredible learning opportunity, to study the actual effects of this behavior.

It's great to see him doing very well, along with his two partners. A success story that we don't see often with male lions from Sabi Sabi to Kruger.

I use FireFox, primarily, both in Windows and Linux. At times, in Windows I can't see images as well, which is when I typically switch to Edge and can see them. I have no such issues in Linux, I seem to always see a large majority of the images and videos.

An aside, the users of this forum typically post in English, so if you start using it you're much more likely to get a response.

Welcome, and enjoy the site!

After successfully raise cubs in mayambula and skorro pride, shaka mbiri is looking forward to acquire Birmingham pride.
