Infertile lioness? There was a Kambula lioness with Torchwood Male too.

Idk, let me check.

I checked, it is infertile lioness.. That lioness also mated with OM and Mohawk so i wouldn't look too much into it..

Althrough she might attract N'ws to Kambula pride.

RE: N'waswitshaka males - Tonpa - 02-22-2021

What's her story? She just roams around away from the pride looking for new males?

She keeps coming into heat since she can't conceive, and she'll look for other males if Bboys happen to not be around. I like how she's like a wildcard so to speak within the dynamics of the pride.

She is mating with Bboys also, but as she is pretty much always in estrus, when they are busy mating with her's sisters, she finds other males.

Lionesses in oestrus often mate with as much different males in the arena they can. That way no matter which coalition in the end will dominate the pride, the cubs will be accepted by them as their own.

I am not sure if this is one of the Styx or Kambula lionesses, but definitelly this lionesses is not 6th infertile Kambula lionesses.

Have you guys looked at the Mangheni Pride? Here's the list of their IDs: https://wildfact.com/forum/topic-lion-directory?page=14

Maybe #1 or #2? She definitely an older lioness.

RE: N'waswitshaka males - Gijima - 02-23-2021

Nvm, I think people are IDing her to in fact be a Kambula female. Just goes to show that it’s not just males who move on from prides after ~ 2-3 years. I think females also need a change/ new blood.

RE: N'waswitshaka males - Potato - 02-23-2021

We had 3 separate male lion sightings over the past 2 safaris:
An impala alarm calling led us straight to this male lion who was resting and looking around. He gave some vocalisation before moving off into the long grass.
Nothing better than when you are casually driving along and you spot a male lion resting not far from the road, soaking up the sun.
The third sighting was also of a male lion just taking in the morning light.

We had some amazing sightings over the past week-end, which started off with us being alerted to the signs of a kill with vultures circling nearby.  We drove to the area and found four male lions on an adult buffalo kill that seemed to have been made the afternoon before.  One of them lay guarding the kill against vultures and hyenas that were lingering around waiting for scraps.
