A force to be reckoned with in the area. Casper was seen mating with a lioness in July. So, this month the lioness who Casper was mating on could give a birth cubs sired by the young Shishangaan males

Ratelpan males father him?

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - lionuk - 10-06-2021

Two remaining Shishangeni males, 2 lionesses, and the 3 cubs were slightly downstream from Two Trees. Elephants flushed them out from under the bush where they were lying. The lions headed upstream past Two Trees and were opposite Jackalberry.

Thats definitely not a 1 year old male, more like 2-2.5.

My thought exactly. I know that. I'm merely saying what the photographer said. I don't agree with her comment.

Do the Young Shish males have individual names (except Casper) And is it known which one is the most dominant?

Africa Adventures named other 3 as Casanova, Footlose and Mfowethu.

Mfowethu is the biggest, Footlose is easy recognizable by his mohawk, while Casanova is the most seen with females.

As far as I know dynamics between the 4 are unknown.

Update: after doing a little investigation due to conflicting reports about Lubyelubye father and son, I asked the same photographer again today, who said 2 weeks' ago that he had seen Lubyelubye father and his son not far away from each other. Now he said he saw ONLY the father. To support that, I've asked Leo Vantage Private Safari for further confirmation and his reply:

"There have been no sightings of the son for some time now...hope he is still alive but not looking good!"

That's very concerning, but let's hope he's fine somewhere and that he will turn up soon.

Yeah. 2 months is a long time to be missing. Especially when your posse has been seen.
