But the problem is I don't think PC males would want to accept OM's cubs since they have killed NK subadult female recently.

Yeah, it would be unfortunate for the 3 cubs sired by Othawa male, but on the other hand with 6 females in the pride willing to mate there could easly be around 18 new cubs sired by new males.

There are only two living offspring of OM in the Mhangeni Pride.

That is likely exactly why Nkuhuma currently has better odds to stick with that pride - he is lesser threat to the cubs due to having all females agansts him for their defense and might be forced to accpet them. When he was still with Styx they had altercation with Mhangenis, when he is alone now, he probably will have to be accepted by Mhangeni on their terms. PC males on the other hand and with their history now, are likely less inclined to be tolerant of other males' cubs so Mhangeni would avoid them and they would have force the takeover, so they might look for more receptive females for now (and they will be some west of Djuma up to east of Othawa pride territory).

Yeah, but so far Nk male has been sighted with the same Mhangeni female for weeks, not other females from the same pride yet (hopefully). Maybe it would be good if he intends to adopt a cautious approach to begin with to win them over.

About my last post on one of Kambula subadult males, you can see he bears a striking resemblance to Tinyo, his possible father.
