I was fortunate and lucky as well, to watch a young tigress stalk a wild boar in the Dhikala chaur, with the majestic Ramganga and the lovely elephants in the backdrop. The tigress stalked the boar right from the forest's edge till the water's edge. Ultimately the boar escaped... I was happy to capture a few frames.. same photo of tiger near deer was taken by us on 24 March 2014 at 6.25 am. this is devdoh tigress which was also with her 4 cubs behind. we were only 2 jeeps to see this, so this must be from the other jeep RE: Tiger Predation - Apollo - 02-13-2015 Tiger hunting small deer Tiger hunts an injured antelope in Africa RE: Tiger Predation - Pckts - 02-13-2015 Another one of John Varty's "wild hunts" ^^ Looks like that animal is snared or broken and the tiger is probably captive bred. Although equipped with razor sharp claws, heavy/robust builds and the longest canines among big cats, the tiger only seems to have inflicted superficial wounds to this gaur. RE: Tiger Predation - Pckts - 02-25-2015 Its tough to interpret but I think the Guar died "This game got fatal submitted nearly two and a half hours ..." And this was a attack from a female apparently, but I agree 10000% Big, bad bovine are probably the hardest game to kill outside of Rhino and Elephant, with Rhino probably being the toughest for a Big cat to kill.
