Big Boy was definitely a bit bigger then Mazino with larger body structure , i mean he was even named Big Boy because of that.

Watch some videos of them together and you will notice that, pictures can be deciving because of angles..

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Thierry - 09-02-2021

The subject here concerns the Kruger National Park coalitions.

It is perhaps a pity that the discussion moves away from the subject, to deviate on a latent tussle, about a reality that one will never know and which, in a way, will always depend on a personal impression. .
It is possible, that such or such lion is very big, the biggest, but that will never be a certain datum, unless you measure them in a scientific way and totally unassailable.

Even taking landmarks on a photo does not allow you to be totally affirmative in anything, since the representation of a three-dimensional reality in an image in two allows only speculation. Neither the viewing angle nor the precise body position of the subjects can be satisfactorily taken into account. So let's accept the sentence: we are sentenced to life, without the possibility of adjusting this sentence, not to know.
Let's not forget, in the eyes of his children, each father can easily be a good 30 centimeters taller.

One question now: what's new about the Kruger National Park coalitions?

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - BIGCATSXPERT - 09-02-2021

Today’s post is dedicated to the Shishangeni male lions,
In the December of 2015 we had the most numbers of lion sightings compared to our previous visits and that was because Kruger experienced a severe drought, therefore most of the waterholes and rivers’s were dry and the ones which had small amount of water was flooded with animals such as buffalos and hippos, and this made it easier for predators to hunt.
We saw the Shishangeni males for the first time in 2015 on the S28, there was 3 of them and they were marking their territory, actually every time we have seen them we have only seen 3 of them

Guide which worked with both of them is of totally different opinion.

link? and I did say probably.

The think is that your "probably" is based on nothink but your imagination.

There you have link from 3:25 to 4:25

BIg Boy was a bit bigger than Mazio, but the difference between them wasn't big at all.

. These 5 unique characters are the sub adult sons of the Ngotso pride in central Kruger National Park.

We first had a glimpse of some of them as tiny cubs in August 2019, so they are around 2 years and a few months old. They have thrived under the protection of their massive fathers and with the abundant provision of their mothers' expert hunting skills. They will probably be pushed out on their own very soon and hopefully they stick together, grow stronger and make smart decisions as they form into a formidable furture coalition.

Guide said that Charlestons are bigger then Bboys overall , didn't compare Nhenha and Mazino individualy.. Nhenha as biggest of Bboys is prob close to size to Mazino, but its impossible to know..

Lets move from this "Who is bigger" its getting offtopic as @Thierry says..

She did. She was talking about Birminghams overall only on the beggining when she said "I don't think Birminghams boys are particularly large" and thenshe was talking particularly about Nhenha which was futured in the video. You guys can value stuff from you imagination more than the opinion of guide which worked with both those coalitions and has not even shade of doubt on which lion is bigger, but it does not make sense what so ever.

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - T I N O - 09-02-2021

I think there are other thread's to talk and discuss about lion sizes, This thread is dedicated about coalitions of KNP, Thus, with the debate of lion sizes only are flooding this thread on a discuss without end
