If I can obtain the Vets info, I'll try to contact him to see if the original weight is correct. RE: Modern weights and measurements on wild tigers - Ashutosh - 07-25-2020 The video is of T91. He is currently MT1. If you scroll up, @Rishi has posted something from twitter where you see him coming up against T98 aka MT3 and he outsizes MT1. @Pckts, the article does mention that a Veterinary team from Ranthambore led by Dr. Rajeev Garg performed the 90 minute procedure. DCF T Mohanraj and veterinarian of Mukundra Tiger Reserve Dr. Tejendra Singh were monitoring his recovery. Yes, he outsizes T98 by a bit, which again makes me think that T98 doesnt have an additional 52kg's of weight to add to that frame. I'll try to contact the vet next week for more info. Thanks Ashutosh. RE: Modern weights and measurements on wild tigers - Rage2277 - 07-25-2020 t98 is the bigger one @Pckts RE: Modern weights and measurements on wild tigers - Pckts - 07-25-2020 (07-25-2020, 08:32 PM)Rage2277 Wrote: t98 is the bigger one @Pckts The one on the left side of the fence? He looks a fair amount large so that's right. RE: Modern weights and measurements on wild tigers - Ashutosh - 07-25-2020 T91 or Alphonso (because mother was mango mother or T30) in 2017. He is on the right side of the fence. He's grown in last 2 years. Came to Mukundara as a 3½year old. Edit: Oh no no, just matched stripes. The smaller-than-a-4-year-old skinny one on the right is indeed MT-1. *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author
RE: Modern weights and measurements on wild tigers - tigerluver - 07-25-2020 Ivan, an Amur tiger, lost 100 kg between the time of his death and second capture. This loss all happened within a year's time (Oct. 2009 to Jan. 2010). A 52 kg loss is not impossible. Not impossible but the tiger doesn't look too emaciated so I dont think he's missing 50kg's of weight. At least fein the images I've seen. Wait, you have it the other way around. T98 is the big one on the left, on the outside. He outsizes T91, not the other way around. I ask because his length is short at 65'' but shoulder height is tall at 44'' (could be measured to tip of paw) A chest girth of 56'' is massive, that's larger than the Sauhara male Tiger Measurements to compare Body Length 167cm Length of Tail 102cm Girth 144cm Fore Limb height 113cm Body Weight 192kg Canine Length Upper Right 6.1 Left 6.0 Lower Right 5.0 Left 5.2 *This image is copyright of its original author
