  • It’s been a long time since this thread was updated but a fight took place between Nkuhuma male (son of BBoys) and one of the Avoca male.
  • The face of the Avoca was pretty bloodied and as for the Nkuhama male he hasn't been seen since the fight.
  • (Sorry my english)

I read that the Nkhuma boy was OK and that the Avoca may have bitten himself through his own tongue, hence the blood but otherwise he was OK as well.

Blonde Avoca male is limping.. again. But this limping looks more serious. In my opinion he will be OK soon, he will rejoin mohawk/snarly/orange eyed brother and everything will be easier.

As far I know, the third Northern Avoca is still with Talamati Pride somewhere in North. Last time I have seen him on safarilive drives in Djuma in mid Febuary.  That Talamati Pride currently have nine cubs now with the Avocas.

We had a blonde avoca with two Nkuhuma lionesses "the youngest Matimba daughter"  and "purple eyes lioness". Not far away from them, we had another avoca male - mohawk/orange eyed. He has a lot of scratches on his face... a lot.

He seems to be loosing some muscle mass in his leg. Weird how Nsuku is having the same issue.

I wonder if overtime they will just split up completely. The northern guy seems to hang around by himself quite a lot.

Northern Avoca, probably Orange eyed/Mohawk and Blondie

RE: Avoca male lions - Potato - 07-15-2019

Blondie is still a little bit limping, but already can keep up with his brother. That are very good news although I bet Mhangeni and Nkuhuma boys would disagree :)

RE: Avoca male lions - Djumafan - 07-16-2019

Yes, he looks much more better. I expected them on safarilive, but unfortunately they disappeared...

Southern Avoca male, photo from instagram by Jacques Viljoen, posted on 18 july.

Is the Southern Avoca alone or is his brother still alive?

I haven't heard/read anything suggesting that they are separated or one of them is dead. This is the latest from Mark Wenckler.

The cubs are about 3 months old and the father of the cubs is the Avoca male also seen in the video
