RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 08-07-2020 PANTANAL: "We found these two nearly adult jaguars in a remote side river in the Pantanal. From their curious behavior we assumed we were the first people they had seen! Few tours get into this remote region." *This image is copyright of its original author Credits to Douglas Trent RE: Jaguar Directory - Pckts - 08-07-2020 Like I said, I just got the Jaguars of the Northern Pantanal book and I'm just starting to read it but I took screenshots of the many individual Jaguars mentioned so we can start to add to the data base. *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author

Too bad they didn't show Edno or Adriano. RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 08-10-2020 PANTANAL: "These are two jaguars I registered for my research in 2013. They are a couple flirting with each other in what most would say is a somewhat brutal breeding ritual." *This image is copyright of its original author By Douglas Trent RE: Jaguar Directory - epaiva - 08-10-2020 (08-07-2020, 11:39 PM)Pckts Wrote: Cont'd@Pckts Incredible Jaguars thanks for sharing RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 08-10-2020 Some of the latest captures of Xando from northern Pantanal, one of the twin brothers known for having stuck together for a while. In the latest captures he's shown alone, which could mean their coalition has dissolved as expected, he's also seen much stockier and larger, he's probably on the way to becoming a pretty large male as well and is currently around 4 years of age reaching his prime. *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author Credits to wildplanetphotomag, Mateus Rauber and Carlos Eduardo. Xando on the right next to his brother Borro on the left, they can be distinguished by the pattern in their foreheads: *This image is copyright of its original author Credits to Mark Thomas Photo Tour Leader * Edited to correct names. Bummer, they were so fun to watch together. The one on the photos on Top is Xando not Bororo, Xando is the one-eyed one who got n ''L'' on the forehead, the post bellow with both next to the other says them correct. Bororo on the Right and Xando on the left you can see Xando on the left got an ''L'' on the forehead and is one-eyed which is the same as the lone male of the pics on top who is Xando. About the info I wonder where Bororo ventured. At first I thought the one on the first pictures was Xango too but now I'm not sure, I'll ask them for clarification.(08-10-2020, 05:41 AM)Balam Wrote: Some of the latest captures of Borro from northern Pantanal, one of the twin brothers known for having stuck together for a while. The pic bellow is correct no problems, but what about the recent pics of the lone male above, was it shared by the same source? RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 08-10-2020 @Dark Jaguar you're right the one on top is Xando, I totally misread. Borro probably separated due to them reaching sexual maturity and needing to establish their own territories and hunting grounds. The sources are different I posted them below, but Xando is seeing in the same area for the last two so my guess is that they took the photographs on a shared safari.
