RE: Lion or tiger cub as a pet - Siegfried - 08-12-2014 Why is the video I posted shown only as a link to youtube and not as a viewable video in the thread? What am I doing wrong? RE: Lion or tiger cub as a pet - sanjay - 08-12-2014 Hi Siegfried, You need to write it differently in order to show videos instead of link. Please wait i will add a proper tutorial for it. RE: Lion or tiger cub as a pet - Siegfried - 08-12-2014 This is both a test for me to post this video again (correctly this time) and as a reply. Here is the Dave Salmoni being attacked footage at 2:30. http://youtu.be/tU9pkFsdYpg RE: Lion or tiger cub as a pet - Siegfried - 08-12-2014 Well that didn't work. The link to youtube is shorter, but still not posted as viewable within the thread. Truthfully, I would love to raise a pet lion or tiger cub I personally would choose lion. Lioness (if you are a man, male lion if you are a woman). I know a man (he is a vet) who raised tiger, lion and jaguar. According to him jaguar was the most difficult to treat while lion was the easiest. Good thing is when the cubs are raised by another animals, for instance (female) dogs. I know about a cub (I don´t remember if lion, tiger or what) who was raised only by a man. The animal has been later translocated to a zoo and was extremely scared of other felids. As I know it´s not that important to have a big yard for the animal, much more important is the quality of the place. Another good thing is to have some experience with some smaller felids first. Being nuts is a pre - requisite to consider pulling the trigger in the first place. Gotta be a bit off center in life anyway to really have fun. I can simply bypass the head examination. RE: Lion or tiger cub as a pet - chaos - 10-11-2014 Just read that Melanie Griffith - the actress - had a full grown male lion living in her home as a teenager. Pretty cool. You have a greater chance of being maimed/killed/mauled by a pitbull, than you do a captive big cat. The only problem is being able to keep the big cat fed, and insuring it stays happy. |
