So has Skorro Jr given up the Othawa pride and settled with the Ximhungwe pride? It appeared that at one time he was trying to locate the pride and re-unite. Is this not the case anymore? His presence may not deter the Birminghams and PCM's from attacking the pride but at least he could protect the pride from hyenas as well as assist with hunts. Thoughts?

He is not settled with the Ximhungwe. He was practically only sticking to her for his own benefit. She can provide food and she keeps him company. The Ximungwe female is probably pregnant and Gingerella is not happy with Skorro around so she avoids him. It's unlikely he will come near them now that Nhenha and the Nkuhuma Male are back. He will probably run away again or stay low. He can't do anything to protect the Othawa. All he would do is bring attention to them. Sassy's best chance is to wait out the conflict and introduce her cubs slowly after mating with a coalition like the Southern Lioness did with the gijima males.

Dunno. The Birminghams being there never seemed to scared him off before. It is notable that in the past month, he has only joined the othawas once but often joined the Ximhungwes.

Would it really be that bad to correct them by pointing out that their beloved king wasnt as royal as they make him out to be.
Those descriptions (legends, kings, queens, princess, etc.) are metaphoric, and nothing else.
There is no kings, queens etc, this is just use as metaphor for lion who rules and owns territory.
Legend is also used as metaphor for certain lion who marks certain period in certain area, example, legend of Sabi Sands or legend of Timbavati.
Mapogos, Majingilanes, Bboys etc. killed numerous lions in their reign, but that doesnt take away that they are legends of Sabi Sands, as killing other lions is normal behavior in their world, killing other lion doesnt make them "evil" or "butchers".
But I guess this is not the thread fot it anyway.

Yes he was, he literally ran away and lost dominance because they were there. Nhenha and the Nkuhuma were supposedly looking for him before they got caught up in the war with the PC Males. They were active in places he was last seen which is presumably what caught the PC Males attention. They also killed the two older lionesses whilst he was around.

The allegiance that lionesses have to their pride's cubs is unparalleled.
Skorro Jr has few wounds from any altercations with other attacking males, but 2 lionesses paid with their lives trying to protect them, and Sassy is quite battered from the last run in.
Yet Sassy stays with those cubs, providing, leading and protecting them when she can. She doesn't run. She is committed.
They said Skorro Jr met up with the pride a while back. I wonder if Sassy ran him off?

Coalitions (or 1 male in this case) and prides are 2 different, separated things.
Coalitions control certain territory, under which there are some prides, those prides can chose if they want to "accept" those males as their "rulers" and sire their offspring, or run away, change territory or become nomads.
Skorro Jr. was not part of Othawa pride, he controled territory under which Othawas have their territory, he lost that territory, meaning that "connection" between them is over (he can only occasionaly follow/join them for food, but will not defend them, as he is nomad).
Males defending "their" pride and offspring is more of a myth then anything else, males/coalitions defend their territory, their dominance of certain area, when they lose that battle, they will certaintly not defend their offspring in these prides.

You mean when they aren't there. Where is he now? He ran away because they're there with her now. He is only with her when they're not around, so yes he is scared. As he should be, it would be dumb for him as a lion to stay around when two males could kill him.

Or scared enough to vacate the area.I think you have a very wrong perception of the Tumbela Male. Yes he has done well to survive and kudos to him but he is not doing what you think he is doing. He has lost everything and is now just nomadic male clinging to the only place he has left to cling to. You're saying they don't want to confront one another but they have and it's gone the way of the Birminghams. They are roaring, he is not. He is surrounded by two coalitions that he can do nothing against. His reign here is practically over. His best chance is to move on and find new partners and perhaps another pride and territory.
