@Tr1x24 so you know those 6 young muntshe males? They aren’t actually young muntshe males it was a mistake. It turned out they were actually 6 young males that are called Mazithi/Tshokwane males. And they were fathered by those 3 Mazithi males. Information from big on wild said he had seen them since they were cubs.

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Potato - 05-07-2021

Singita KNP update
  • The Shishangaan Pride have been seen on a number of occasions in the southern part of our concession where they have been maintaining their stronghold. The pride is in good condition and have been regularly seen with full bellies.
  • The Kumana male has been seen with the Shishagaan Pride on many occasions. He was also seen mating with one of the lionesses, so, if all goes well, we could be expecting new additions to the Shish Pride at the end of winter.
  • The Mananga Pride has been seen around the north western parts of the concession, where they rule, hunting and vocalizing not far away from Gudzane Dam. Xihamham (a Shish male) has also been spotted with them on a number of occasions with a special appearance of his brother joining them which has not been seen of late. This could be because there are two males slowly encroaching on their territory and the brothers realize they are stronger together than separated. The new members of the Mananga Pride have been seen on a few occasions, separated from the rest of the pride.
  • Two unknown males have been seen in the northern parts of our concession. On one such occasion they were trailing one of the Shish males who seemed to be hurriedly trying to move away from them. The same two males also killed a lioness from the Mountain Pride who may have wandered a little too far away from the protection of her pride. After a few days all that was left was her bottom jaw, everything else was consumed by hyenas and vultures.
  • The Mountain Pride has been seen moving around in the central parts of the concession, heading more and more north, even extending as far north as the block south of Mbatsane where the Northern Pride used to reign. This month they have also lost a member of their pride to two unknown males. They have also been seen feeding on a number of occasions on wildebeest and waterbuck.

The three badasses of southern Kruger!

Awesome shot of the three fierce and ruthless Mjejane males "T, Pretty Boy and Toya" at the s118 today, after two of them were spotted scouting the southern area of the Jock concession days ago, today they have been spotted in their usual area!

So we had 2 coalitions around s79 in the same month, so i tought that this male was part of the other 3..

But theres 4 of these guys seen on s79 last year not 3, but Big On Wild said there only 3 now..

So how would we call these 2 coalitions, if these guys came from Mazithi/Tshokwane and not Muntshe pride..

This 3 are called H10 males?

And other coalition with this male 3 Tshokwane/Mazithi males?

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Psyckoo - 05-08-2021

That's funny, on Facebook some people were talking like if Mjejene fail to take over S.Shishangeni and Eastern bank male territory... The only think that they forget is that Mjejane was not going for a take over...

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Brahim - 05-08-2021

@Tr1x24 Yeah so those 3/4 males seem to be going by Mazithi/Tshokwane males. Those other 3 idk because there’s other H10 males ( Two nomads slightly older then these guys and also some younger sons of those 3 mazithi) I’m hoping these 3 lower sabie males get a cool name.

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Brahim - 05-08-2021

@Psyckoo Yeah more likely when they are serious the Mjejane will go as three. It’s better they don’t Try take jock anyway. It would be the start of them splitting and possibly more chance they get caught alone

So lets call them Lower Sabi males for now..

Mjejanes are again far away west from Mjejane, so he is safe for now.

But that was exactly how it been before, and Mjejanes returned when they heard roars from Mo & Mbilu..

But also they might no feel threat anymore from only 1 male, so they  might leave him alone, and with only 1 female there, its not much of a value..

I hope that doesnt mean that something happened to his partner Vurhami male, but its more then obivious now that they lost their territory to 5 Gomondwane males, also Vurhami male was seen losing mane in recent months.. We need to wait and see if he shows up..
