RE: Nkhulu males - Cath2020 - 03-24-2024 I see only 4 adult females in the photo. Therefore, only one S. Avoca daughter is part of the core pride now. I did see footage of around 6 subs at one point, seemingly on their own... That was a couple of months ago, though. The most recent footage of the Sand River Pride Breakaways had 3 males together, all with various mane development... Didn't see any female subs with them, so don't know where they are. That was less than a month ago, I think. There should be around 8 subs left, accounting for the deaths of those confirmed, but there may very well have been a culling the guides never witnessed by the Nkhulus RE: Nkhulu males - Ngonya - 03-24-2024 (03-24-2024, 06:23 AM)Cath2020 Wrote: I see only 4 adult females in the photo.Yes this is it, back in post #331 "On the 24th, four lionesses were with a single Nkhulu male in the Sand River at KK Crossing". They didnt killed all males, many subs survived (should be around 6 and 4 are males) and are nomads now hanging around Skukuza (altleast they were on last sightings). Younger Avoca daughter is prob still with sub group, as she might not be ready for mating yet. Oh, I totally misunderstood, back when that happened, I read that, back when they killed that young male, as his being the last one. Thank you, for the correction, very happy to hear that!
