"A familiar old face is Tingana, the male leopard in the Northern Sabi Sands. We found the old boy resting on top of a termite mound just after dawn. He peacefully gazed across the area for quite a while, and then jumped off to look for a meal. Later, it was reported that he successfully hunted a fully grown female kudu. The weight of a fully grown female Kudu can range to anything between 150 kg to 210 kg... That's quite scary isn't it... The power of these big cats are astounding!"

I posted this before on the Persian Leopard thread , but here is a Leopard and its Maral Red Deer kill

@Luipaard  The Caspian Red Deer is listed on Wikipedia as  500 to 700 pounds (230 to 320 kg)

So this Red Deer Hind is 200+ kg.

The Hunt....
It was raw nature unfolded when two different sub-adult males (YM 16 & YM 34) from different home ranges and recently left the family's trying to establish new territory in the same area surprisingly tolerating each other and in this case hunting together and sharing the kill.
When we reached the spot we observed this big ratting inside the bush when YM 16 was still trying to strangle this Huge Spotted deer to death while the other was eating it alive.
its very interesting behavior for the second time in couple of months these Yala leopards have been sharing its kills..

Seems one place outside of Africa where leopards hoist kills up trees often is Bandipur in India.

These are all Axis or Spotted deer kills
