Don't know about that. This is the second pic I've seen of that carcass, in the other they had lifted its head up and you could see the missing upper canine.

The second pic strikes me as a male lion, since the male lions have the higher frequency of getting broken canines due the brawl with other males.

Marsh pride lion -Notch the Lion-King of the Mara and His Five Sons

A young Ron challenging his father Notch .The other and 4 sons always fell in line.Thats why you never see photos of Ron and his father Notch apart from the one photo. It seems Ron lead the other 4 brothers while Notch spent more time with his other son Long who was his body guard until early 2011 .PC Jonathan Scott.

Body guard? I'd like to know more details on that social interaction. How long did it last and how did it end?

Long is the first one of the six that dissapeared, back before the time where I started reading about lions, so I don't know much about it.

However, the little I know is that many times, the sons of Notch would team up against his father, which doesn't surprise me at all, they're always looking for dominance.

And it was Long the one that sided with his father, that defended him during this little intra group fights.

Red Lion

How Notch strolls through his territory speaks a lot for the "red lion." So full of grace, strength and security. What grace gives a lion such a splendid mane? No wonder that every one speaks reverently and with admiration of "the" Notches. The legendarys of the Maasai Mara ...

Tell that to the ones that published that post, pic and sentence included, those are not my words.

And, to leave it clear, I don't have a single problem with the word legendary used in any animal.

My problem is with the lack of objetivity, the fanatism and the antromorphization of said animal of many that use that word and the wrong implications behind it.

If you were a lioness than I am sure Notch and Notch II are the first two lions on whom you will get flattered, and will fall in love with them Wow Heart . They look handsome, gorgeous and dominant.

RE: Lion king Notch and his famous 5 sons - sanjay - 10-29-2016

As far as I know, Long was eldest among all sons and he was son of Notch brother
