I don't have a good feeling with him roaring like that. Neither did I have a good feeling when the NK and Tumbela Males were roaring.... Then a few days later, they had a run-in with other males, and Tumbela is the worse for wear and probably will start deteriorating once his body can't catch up to all that healing it needs to do. The S. BDMs were also roaring when they should not have been, and I also had a bad omen that something would happen to both or one of them in a few days to a week. Lone Xim, was seen roaring constantly, and I clearly thought something would happen to her sub daughter. Again, my feeling were correct. Dreadlocks was seen roaring a few times, loudly, and patrolling somewhere, then next thing you know, he's badly injured. He didn't have his strongest coalition partners with him even.
Lone lions or lionesses, or those that cannot defend or fight well for territory/females, etc. should have the good sense to stay quiet. Or at least be able to run away fast enough to evade getting caught by stronger lions...but that's supposing they don't get the attention of more than they can handle while staying very vigilant through all that roaring.
I guess it's built into their mentality or something....

His behaviour is surprising given his clear lack of mane for majority of his life since becoming atleast semi nomadic. He seems to always be in good shape even at times when he’s went into KNP to avoid Gijimas. Nice seeing this growth from him the last few months but I would prefer he starts to move on and transitions into full nomadic life without the pride. Gijimas surely don’t like him around but they’re not constantly ‘on his tale’ so he wouldn’t think of doing such a thing this very moment.

Young lions (other animals too) needs to explore and test the boundaries in these "teenage/transition" yrs, to learn and developt character needed for adult life.
To be afraid too much and avoiding "uncomfortable" situation in those years will not translate good into adulthood, in particulate this implies for male lions, as they will lack dominant, confident and leading traits, which are crucial for life of male lions.
Is it dangerous? Yes, but is it good for his future as a male lion? Hell yea.
Same implies for us humans too. "Bold" teenager who is out there testing boundaries and getting exposed, will pretty much always have more success in adult life then scared teenage boy hiding in mom's basement, because he is developing large variety of skills needed for adult life.
As for older lions, well, they are opportunistic animals, you never know what "roar" can bring you (females, territory).

He’s looking in great shape. Hopefully he comes across a few other young males and he can give himself a real shot at becoming a dominant lion, eventually.

I was just thinking about this lioness recently, wondering where she was! She finally has new cubs from the Gijimas! Now she's raising them alone?! Looks to be at least one male cub.

I believe it’s 2 males and 1 female or all 3 males but definitely 1 male

Hi I have asked this before. Who is he son of? Was her mother the older Rollercoster lioness or the other lioness? I do not think he could be son of the Birmingham daughter?

Our boy, FE, coming out early, and letting everyone else know about it. While, I think that is really good to see, I do hope he doesn't get himself in some trouble.
