Just one little question about this male wolf. The information says a weight of "75 lb as an alpha male". Is there an error in that figure? Maybe is 175 lb?
I did some research, and I found a more plausible and realistic weight for the alpha male from a 1996 report of Ralph Maughan (An extremely reliable expert and reporter)
106 lbs. Which is 48.08 kg.

WAPITI WOLVES - MOTHER & DAUGHTER ... Spent most of a morning recently along the shoreline of the Yellowstone River in Hayden Valley with the ever-whitening alpha female of the Wapiti Lake Pack and her yearling daughter. Both the mother and daughter are gray wolves, but the mother carries the genes of the white matriarchs before her, and her coat whitens seemingly with each passing month. The white matriarchs before her are her mother, the 11-year-old alpha female of the Canyon Pack and part of the oldest mated pair in the history of reintroduced Yellowstone wolves (9 years and counting), and her grandmother, the famous alpha female 540F of the Hayden Valley Pack .. the whitest of them all!

"Wolf #926F of the Lamar Canyon Pack was recently legally shot by a hunter when the pack was outside of the protection of Yellowstone Park, near Cooke City, Montana. We are sure that wildlife enthusiasts worldwide, like us, are deeply saddened by the news. Wolf #926F was the daughter of the “06 Female, that was the subject of the book American Wolf. The ‘06 Female was shot by a hunter in Wyoming in 2012. These cases emphasize the need to end hunting of wolves on the boundary of Yellowstone Park where they are so highly valued.

"890M from the Mollies pack walking through the prairie. The Mollies have 9 wolves in the pack, consisting of 5 black and 4 grays. They are the oldest reigning pack in the park, and have been around since the 1995 wolf reintroduction into Yellowstone. 890M is the alpha male of the Mollies and weighs over 120 pounds. He is the second oldest wolf in the park, aging in at 9 years old. This was a special opening day in the park- June 1, 2020. .

I just bought a book called : "Charting Yellowstone Wolves (25th Anniversary)" by James Halfpenny, Shauna Baron and Leo Leckie.
It very very very awesome ! It details everything, including a short story on every collared wolves, the packs members of each pack by year, pictures, etc...
I absolutely devoured the book.
