I know they were never necessarily considered a coalition but both N/S Avocas have to be one of the most impressive I’ve ever seen, looks wise. Even their offspring all turned out to be stunning males.

I could not agree more my friend.

Mohawk looks in great shape if that's a recent picture.

RE: Avoca Male Lions and Their Male Lineage - Mapokser - 12-20-2024

Unfortunately I think we'll never see his elder NK son again.

You mean Ridge Nose's son? What's happened to him?

@Mapokser What do you mean, was one of the two sons killed?

RE: Avoca Male Lions and Their Male Lineage - Mapokser - 12-20-2024

RN's son hasn't been seen in a while now, all lastest sightings were of Mohawk alone, Chela's son alone, or Mohawk with Chela's son.

There was even a sighting of Mohawk and Chela's son killing 3 buffalo, even then the elder NK didn't show up.

Mohawk and Chela´s killing three buffalo? Where was that? I want to badly see it. It´s quite concerning but I think its too soon to count him out ( I know you didnt)

Damn that's a real shame. Only 3 out of 10 of the Northern Avoca male offspring still alive then. Though this is unfortunately quite common, it's still sad to see it unfold.

While it's great that Chela's son has Mohawk, he'll need to join up with another partner closer to his age if he's to be successful long-term.

Edit: Forgot to initially include the youngest Nkuhuma male/N. Avoca male offpring, as he is still with the pride and it remains to be seen whether he will survive to adulthood and independence from the pride.

Hi Northern Avoca sons? There Talamatie young male, and Nukhuma in Kruger and young Nukhuma. Hopefully Nukhuma appears.

Maybe it would be good for Mohawk and Nukhuma male to come back with Nukhuma, but wonder if Mohawk left, because of many male lions. Wonder if maybe he could meet with Talamatie and Nukhuma and or young Nukhuma.

Maybe black damn male lion. Wonder how black damn male lion is.

Speaking of male lions sired by the Northern Avoca Males I haven't got any news on how is the offsprings of the 2 Southern Avoca Male is doing? Anyone got information about this would me much appreciated.

You're right, I forgot about the young Nkuhuma male still with the pride. I'll amend my post.

As they've gone into Kruger updates on them will be infrequent at best. I (and I imagine a lot of other people) would also appreciate any news anyone has on them, and their sister(s).
