A single alarm call from the chital doe alerted us to the presence of a big cat. The entire herd was flushed out in the open and as we waited with baited breath, this beautiful male Leopard arrived from the pathway leading to a salt pit. Here he quenched his thirst from the recently filled water and crossed our path headed in the direction of a deer kill he had stashed on a tree giving us some amazing photographic opportunities on the way as we had parked the vehicle at a low angle. *This image is copyright of its original author mithunhphotography |
