RE: Majingilane Sons - sundarbans - 11-28-2020 Was he coalition partners with the Mpondo male that was near him or did that lion have something to do with his death? Also in the list of lions that died recently, which Giraffe male are you talking about? RE: Majingilane Sons - Potato - 11-28-2020 "Was he coalition partners with the Mpondo male" No "Also in the list of lions that died recently, which Giraffe male are you talking about" Thornybush Giraffe male althrough as far as I know that he died are pure speculations. But In fact the Styx male was partner of the three S26 males where apparently there is the other Styx male, (Unconfirmed still now). The other three males are still on their prime and holding a big pride. (I've heard that they hold a pride of 20 members or so) 2) Yes,I'm talking about the last Giraffe male (born in 2011) he went into a private property and since then not was seen anymore. for now Rudi Hulshof claimed that he's possibly dead now, Obviously doesn't are much information. But being positive at this stage is very hard. To be honest... RE: Majingilane Sons - T I N O - 11-28-2020 Words by Rudi Hulshof a couple of months ago: Although still unconfirmed, it’s all but accepted that the Giraffe male has died. We have not seen him for about 6 months now, and he has also not been seen in the company of the Blackdam pride of lions here on the reserve at Royal Malewane in South Africa. Should he make a reappearance and again be seen on our wildlife photographic safari, I will be sure to correct this assumption of mine, but for now his memory has been immortalized by the thousands of photos, guides and guests alike have taken of him during his life. RE: Majingilane Sons - Cath2020 - 11-28-2020 What do you guys think about Junior? A Scarnose son? Maybe more time will change his features somewhat and it will be easier to discern. The youngest Majing. son is still going strong with the Othawa Pride. The only offspring of Aunty Othawa to have made it so far.... Btw, is she turning 13 next month or in January? RE: Majingilane Sons - sundarbans - 11-28-2020 My guess would be he is a Dark Mane son. In their last days it was the Dark Mane male who spent the most time with the Othawas. That Dark Mane spent most of his time with Othawa pride after cubs were born means very little regarding possibility of him being the father of Junior. Before Jonior was born all Majingilanes (not sure if Hip Scar mated with her as well, might be not) and can be the fathers. So far judging by face structure I would bet on DM to be the father, but I am not really sure. Then,I'll say that he is son of Dark Mane Majingilane. Obviously those similarities can changing once that he will growing up. But for now he look very similar to DM. BTW,Auntie othawa is turning 13 years old next month. RE: Majingilane Sons - T I N O - 11-28-2020 (11-28-2020, 02:43 PM)sundarbans Wrote: My guess would be he is a Dark Mane son.
