This is good area for him.

Mbiris are pretty much vacant (unless 2 Mbiris took them) and around are only loners as territorial males.

The young Skorro male is back on his old stomping grounds
Cant believe NK male abandoned this young prime Jr's son for a limping tumbela.

Hopefully this boy will find a warrior partner

Lion dynamics are unpredictable, we still don’t know for sure if the Tumbela and Nkuhuma male will form a coalition as it is still too early to tell.

The young Mbiri male could be a good match for him, both are young and the Mbiri male will be kicked out of the pride sooner or later. He is at age already. Slightly younger probably

There is no dominant male to kick out jr's son the mbiri boy. I wouldn't be surprised if he stuck around and inbreed with his pride like his brothers/cousins did.

RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Mapokser - 05-15-2024

If Skorro is smart and strong he can become dominant in Manyeleti even without a partner.

Edit: Mbiri young male is way to young to join Skorro. He is just over 3yo, Skorro is what, 5,5yo?

Mbiri would have to show the level of development of his older Mbiri cousins to have any chance to be seen by Skorro as a potential partner and not a nuisance of a subadult.

Khanya Talamati would be an excellent partner for Skorro Jr! Has Khanya been seen?

I saw mention that Khanya was spotted in south sabi sands again. w all the chaos up north its not surprising. he was headed towards the same area his former hangout partner, Nkuhuma was seen w Tumbela a few days ago...so I wouldn't totally rule out running into each other.

Nice to see all 3 young males. I was always worried that the Orpen son would end up alone but if he's lucky his cousins will be able to join him in their nomadic life.

They remind me of the three Othawa boys. Hopefully they have better luck.

He's going to end up looking just like his daddy. Should we call him Junior Jr?

RE: Lions of Manyeleti - NLAL11 - 05-17-2024

@Mapokser When new males come in all three sub males will be particularly targeted so they will most likely leave together at this point. To be honest the Tintswalos leaving has probably been pretty good for the Orpen boy, means he wasn't kicked out earlier than his cousins. The Orpen girl should be alright now, not so sure about the younger female sub. Hopefully all the subs survive the inevitable take over.

Red Road Male is the embodiment of what it takes to be a successful solo male lion, the benchmark by which future solo males will be judged.
