Ah, I misread the comment. I'll retract my post then.

Very unlikely. Even now he is barely walking. With such injury there is no way Nhenha could anyhow prevent PC males from atacking him from the flanks. Even for a fit healty male it is very dificult, borderline impossible to defend himself from the atack from two males a once and here we are talking about male who already has massive hole in one leg. He must have been totally defenseless after sustaining those initial injury.

In a life or dead fight you give it all, even suvere injured, you will keep fighting as much as you can and try to do anything to back off attackers.

That leg is not broken, and now he prob limps worse then at the time of the fight, as muscle and injury cool off.

In a fight, when there is high adreline rushing, lions can put up a fight with much worse injuries then this.

Im not saying that he could fight off them, obiviously not, as if they wanted, they could killed him without a doubt.

Also, yes, PC males are big, strong and confident, but lets dont forget, this was their first fight like this against adult male.

I remember a fight of 2 Mazithi males vs 1 S129 male, they injured him quite badly on the back, but he continue to fight and keep jumping at them, eventually 2 males just decide to back of and leave him. So situations like this can definitely happen.

Not saying it happened here, as we dont know, but its one of possibilities.

As with those injuries, could Nhenha really escape them? Doubt.

RE: The Birmingham Males - Mapokser - 01-08-2023

Didn't 1/4 Ndhzengas made a full recovery from wounds like that in both legs?

Edit: as for what happened in the fight, I can see the PCM's inexperience saving Nhenha, but given his situation, did it really? There's no way to know but I find more likely the possibility NK saved him. If he did return after running, it might have been the trigger for the males to leave Nhenha and chase him, giving Nhenha a chance to escape.

Well yea, from what we saw, those injuries are similar to what WideNose sustained against Gijimas.

But the difference is that WideNose, in his recovery, had protection of his partners and food source in following Kambulas.

This is something Nhenha doesnt have, he is a nomad, and for now, alone.

Definitely much tougher situation then WideNose was in.

RE: The Birmingham Males - Hairy tummy - 01-08-2023

Nhenha still has 3 good legs, wide nose only has 2,wide nose has been so resilient since his fight. Hope nhenha can somehow link back up with nk

He still has full mass but very badly injured and limping ( but not as bad as MR T after fight with selatis , injuries look similar what tsalala girl had after fight with kambulas).
Also have video but it's on FB ( don't know how to post it).

Well I mean if you say so, then Nhena should be fine in only a few weeks since thats how long it took Tsalala girl to recover. Since hes limping he will habe mobility issues. He definitely needs to reunite with NK so that his son can hunt a for him. From now on, I feellike NK will start to dominante on Nhena and take away all mating rights given Nhena's injuries.

After looking at this, the injuries might be more severe. That looks a big open wound on his leg. If he was in his prime and had his 3 borthers and prides then he wouldve likely survived. But here, he is past his prime and is a nomad. Which makes his survival more difficult.

RE: The Birmingham Males - Duco Ndona - 01-08-2023

Its possible that the PCmales ambushed Nhenha with disastrous results for the old lion. Then believing they did enough damage, they focussed on Nym. Giving Nhenha a chance to flee.
Having lost the element of surprise however, Nym got away relatively unharmed. But neither of the Birmingham's managed to get much blows in on the PCmales as their first reaction was to flee from what at that time was a vastly superior force that got the jump on them.

The PCmales, being aware their attack wasn't as lethal as they liked. Then camped out around the Ximhungwes and went out searching for the two males. Which is where they are now.

My friend @Tr1x24, your theory/possibility makes a lot of sense to me because in order to prevent death, the defense had to be good. And it is also reasonable to think that NYM provoke the opportunity for Nhenha to escape.

I agree with you @Mdz123 bro. The possibilities of overcoming this are lower if not reunite with NYM unless his recovery is fast enough.

He would have been the first one to bolt through the gates without looking back, leaving Nhenha behind.

RE: The Birmingham Males - Musa15 - 01-09-2023

He may not have his youth to recover quickly from this, but his age can be an advantage in this situation as experience and survival smarts can allow him to lay low as he recovers. Even in this condition, he can still bully smaller predators and steal kills since his mane is still full and he hasn't lost much size(yet). Happy to see him again. The story continues.

I suspect so too. A while back, Olobor was caught out mating by Spikey and his partner. They Locked him in place, caused some groin damage and then let him go.  Like as mentioned in one of the earlier posts, there is no way you would know for sure now.
