RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Pckts - 03-09-2016 Beautiful males RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Ngala - 03-10-2016 William Elsworth "A nice photo taken by Licinia Machado photography. Diamond Face was a strong male. No one really knows what happened to him but he was in poor condition just before he disappeared in 2015. He had a discolated hip/bad leg and his condition deteriorated quite a bit. He couldn't keep up with his two brothers so he mostly stayed on his own with the Sand River pride. He was a formidable male and a very successful male too. He ruled Maroela Loop with his two brothers for a good few years. The 3 Toulon males are called Dominant Toulon, Shy Toulon and Diamond Face. The remaining two Toulon males are still a force to be reckoned with even though they are 12 years old." Diamond Face Toulon *This image is copyright of its original author Photo Credits: Licinia Machado Photography "Eckson saw the Toulon males a few days ago in Kirkman's Kamp. The two Toulon males dominate Maroela Loop and the Eastern part of Lion Sands KNP. They are the pride males of the Sand River pride which consists of 3 adult females and 5 sub adults. The Toulon males have dominated the Maroela Loop area since 2010/11 but over the last 7 months the remaining two Toulon males have been spending most of their time with the Sand River pride in the Sabi Sands area. It looks like they are feeling the pressure from younger males in the Maroela Loop area. It will be interesting to see which males takeover the Maroela Loop area in the next year or so. The Toulon males are 12 years old now." He is still a formidable male though." *This image is copyright of its original author Photo credits: Messham Photography "The Toulon males crossing the Sand River at Kirkmans Kamp. We haven't seen this two old boys for a few days now. They are due for another visit." *This image is copyright of its original author Dominant Toulon Photo credits: Safraaz Suliman Wildlife Photography "Taken on 15th January 2016 on the H1-2 between the Maroela Loop entrances." *This image is copyright of its original author Photo credits: Dumay de Longchamps Boulle - Lion Sands Game Reserve "Male lion in the dry Sand River." *This image is copyright of its original author I love these strong boys. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Tshokwane - 03-25-2016 Jock Safari Lodge: Savanna Strauss captured this image of 2 the young Eastern Bank Males that, at a relatively young age, are slowly making a name for themselves in the Southern Kruger. Like they say in sport…if you are good enough, you are old enough! *This image is copyright of its original author These five boys are sons of the Toulon males, and have already caused the death of one of the powerful Stolsnek males and another one is badly injured. They will be such a force, amazing boys. I know this is an older video, but I'm told they're still dominant males, so I thought I could share this so at least you get a glimpse of these magnificent boys. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Spalea - 04-01-2016 @Majingilane: Magnificents boys and beautiful video, thank you ! This one too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5VQW42WB2E RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Tshokwane - 04-02-2016 Jock Safari Lodge: We have been asked by so many people, via social media, who follow the lions of the Kruger for an image of all of the Eastern Bank males together. Well here they are…the new boys in “town”. Photo by Estiaan Houy The Intrepid Explorer Getaway Magazine National Geographic. *This image is copyright of its original author

RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - LionKiss - 04-16-2016 @Majingilane, who is this #27? RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Tshokwane - 04-16-2016 Quote: who is this #27?I have no idea. I asked if he was a lone male or if he was in a coalition, but they told me he was a lone male. RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Tshokwane - 04-18-2016 ~Ronesh Parbhoo Wildlife Photography~: “Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.”…This pride Male scent marks his territory as he goes about on his daily patrol. Vurhami male. *This image is copyright of its original author
RE: Coalitions of Kruger National Park - Pckts - 04-18-2016 Whats on his back leg? Looks to be infected skin or a dark bruise. |
