Before this images were taken, the dogs killed an impala. When they nearly finished hyenas came and tried to take over the rest of the carcass. It went super quick. The one hyena grabbed the head with the spine. Another hyena and the wild dogs followed. The hyena with the head got away. The other one got snatched by the painted dogs and had to defend itself. Not all images are sharp in this series. Please don’t blame me for that. But it was a action sighting how I like it and they are part of it ?" When nearly finished some hyenas came for the leftovers. Obviously the dogs didn’t like to share with the hyenas and the fight for food begun ... end of the story: the hyenas got some scraps!
