Picture perfect! Can't get better than that!

The Notches are so successful, keeping up with their bloodline is such a daunting task.

The thing that has always bothered me is the sudden disappearance of Notch. I'm still keeping the faintest hope that someone has an idea else it will always remain a mystery.

Notch, one of the great lions of the Mara in Kenya, crosses the Talek River.

Notch, together with his sons have formed a powerful coalition that holds sway in much of the Ol Kiombo region.

I don't know when this video was taken, but it's a great vintage of the Old Man.

@Majingilane, what is this voice in this video?

[I have absolutely no idea. Maybe it's someone talking around the person filming and the sound got messy in the edition of the video. I don't know.
It does sound a bit creepy. Majingilane]

I have to say, even as a 13 year old lion, Notch looks like a lion just into his prime. I mean, if i wasn't aware of his amazing story, i would have thought that he was younger than his sons! lol.

GOOD NEWS CAESER'S TREATMENT.
Today Caesar 's mange has worsened he contracted it from being in close contact with his father Notch ,I had to personally intervene contacted the David Sheldrick vet Felix to come and treat him, for now his belly is all covered in mange,I suspect the adverse mange condition Notch had also lowered his immune system making him susceptible to all sorts of diseases which eventually killed him during 2nd aug 2013.No body intervened then because of his age till most of his body was covered.Yesterday the David Sheldrick foundation vets after passing them his location,I am happy to say have treated Caesar and have assured me they are keeping a close eye on him and his 2 remaining brothers. Umar A and Jahir a are taking good care of you on here. For i retired and don't come on here anymore.I only intervene because of the worsening of Caesar's condition.Always say a big thank you to Umar and Jahir for they are carrying the Notch story on.Sincerely J.C.
PLEASE DO DONATE TO THE DAVID WILDLIFE FOUNDATIONDS THEIR VETS DO AN AMZING JOB TREATING THESE ANIMALS,AND MAY BE WITH YOUR DONATION AND FUNDING THEY COULD TREAT MORE ANIMALS NOT JUST IN KENYA BUT FURTRTHER AFIELD ALL OVER AFRICA.PC Sven Jacobs.link to our first report of Caesar's mange https://www.facebook.com/NotchTheLionKingOfTheMaraAndHisFiveSons/photos/pb.300392230077344.-2207520000.1460466133./488373347945897/?type=3&theater

I asked how Caesar was doing and if he was weighed.
The response

"Thank you – he has received treatment but we did not weigh him I’m afraid.  His condition has improved.
With grateful thanks
Angela"
