The dynamics of this pride are so baffling. They’re really quite a bipolar pride RE: Lions of Manyeleti - afortich - 09-05-2023 (09-05-2023, 05:26 AM)criollo2mil Wrote:(09-05-2023, 03:26 AM)BA0701 Wrote:(09-05-2023, 03:23 AM)Tonpa Wrote: Poor Ncila, he just wanted to rest with the gang And the worse thing is that humans contributed to this behavior, which started after Ncile's injury. Maybe there is something in the water in Manyeleti. RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Mwk85 - 09-06-2023 Members of the Imbali Pride along with the old Talamati lioness and the young male referred to as "Wonky Eye". Sighting is from a few weeks ago. He is the ultimate diplomat. He had mastered the Jedi mind trick to have gotten to feast with Talamati, Nkuhuma, Imbalis, Talamati Breakaways at different times. Wow RE: Lions of Manyeleti - afortich - 09-06-2023 (09-06-2023, 07:03 AM)criollo2mil Wrote:(09-06-2023, 06:39 AM)BA0701 Wrote:(09-06-2023, 06:27 AM)Mwk85 Wrote: Members of the Imbali Pride along with the old Talamati lioness and the young male referred to as "Wonky Eye". Sighting is from a few weeks ago. Exactly! He also ate with Dark Mane (likely the easiest going male lion ever, but still), and S8, both while they were dominant males. I am sure we are leaving some out, but it really is remarkable. When he ate with S8, S8 came running at him on one of his (WE's) own kills, and he barely raised his head to look up, just kept right on eating, like help yourself, mi casa su casa. Absolutely, if I were a researcher of animal behavior, I would focus on Wonky Eye RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Cath2020 - 09-06-2023 (09-06-2023, 07:40 AM)BA0701 Wrote:(09-06-2023, 07:03 AM)criollo2mil Wrote:(09-06-2023, 06:39 AM)BA0701 Wrote:(09-06-2023, 06:27 AM)Mwk85 Wrote: Members of the Imbali Pride along with the old Talamati lioness and the young male referred to as "Wonky Eye". Sighting is from a few weeks ago. Saw that clip and many were saying that it's because WE is the son of the S8 male, so therefore they already knew each other and didn't react aggressively. Not sure if this is true, but would explain the non-aggression. S8 wasn't trying to oust him at all and seemed to recognize the young male after he came barreling towards him. I was told on here that he was only mistaken for the young Imbali male, two different males. RE: Lions of Manyeleti - Tonpa - 09-06-2023 Yeah when he first showed up in the Manyeleti in June 2020 he was already decently sized. It had only been a year since the S8 had taken over the Imbali Pride *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author
