In fact he’s got the biggest territory out of any male present in Tadoba. i’ll see if i get time on my hand, i’ll help. there is another young male in Mamla buffer along side Wagdoh male and the new male that was seen in Navegaon was indeed Kali aka Ginaji himself. - Kori is not deceased, she’s one of Bajrang’s mate. - Choti Madhu is the daughter of Khali and Madhuri. - Kankajhari rules Kolara zone 2 or Kolara buffer, Madnapur and parts of tourism zone. - Jharni is Wagdoh and Kori’s daughter. keep up the good work. Preferably males. Profile should have at minimum 2 images, One image from front showing complete head and other image from side view showing patterns and physical shape. If some extra images from back can be added that would be awesome. It would be interesting to see and compare the physical appearance of Tigers from different region of India in one place. RE: B2 and Other Great Tiger Pics from India - summerchokes - 03-29-2019 (03-28-2019, 09:32 PM)Pckts Wrote: Vemparala Venkata Subrahmanyam To all, Spoke to a couple of naturalists from Tadoba, this behaviour displayed by Matka and Chota Matka is highly unusual semi symbiotic behaviour. Both have scars and seems like Chota Matka was also struggling to hunt, no one can confirm the same though. A couple of theories here suggested by the naturalists: 1. Matkasur has been tolerating Chota Matka, whom he has kept on his guard possibly discouraging other tigers. 2. Both have possibly been fighting with the young Shivanzari Male Also @sanjay, thank you. I will share a detailed account of whatever I see. My last trip entailed an amazing sighting of Sonam causing massive panic amongst a herd of Gaur and Maya killing a gaur. This was back in 2016. Also I am only visiting Tadoba this summer, but if the opportunity permits I shall try visiting Kanha and more specifically targeting the Mukki zone. If it does materialize I would best describe it as "The Hunt for Umarpani". Lastly could anyone shed light on the famous circuit gang, I am unable to find any information with regards to the same, I was only 18, 6 years back I'm guessing when they were the talk of the park. Thank you RE: B2 and Other Great Tiger Pics from India - msaiveer - 03-29-2019 (03-29-2019, 12:36 AM)summerchokes Wrote:I Think from Circut Gang only Choti Tara is in Tadoba ( Jamni) ... With All these intruders its Tough for Maya , Choti Tara and there Cubs.... One of the Guide Ravi Clicked his picture in an impression of Kankajari Male and showed to me that he got a good sighting of Kankajari male, but after looking for images it was sure that he was not a Kankajari Male after cross checking with old images from 2008 finally got his bloodline. He grew up in a high profile and photogenic family within a large happy litter. V7 grew up as part of a family of four siblings in 2008, under the watchful eye of a male Crooked Tail (Yeda Anna) and his mother Vasanti. Malika and Sonia were his sisters and V6 his beloved brother they all grew up to adulthood around the area known as Vasant Bandara. Seen often as cubs, they learnt to hunt together early with good coordination between the cubs, often bringing down large Sambar deer in the rocky hills of Jamunjhora. His relationship though with is sisters was never close, and as soon as they were sub adults they parted company and where then seen only in sibling pairs, with the two brothers keeping each other company until Katezari Male, a threatening and domineering male arrived one day on the scene, next day both brother disappeared and now in 2016 after a 7 years gap he was sighted in Kolara Buffer Area.... One more example. When Cubs have left mother’s range and not established range of their own is known as the transient stage. Female cubs usually carve out a range out of their mother. But the male cubs have to travel much farther to establish their range. They usually scrounge around the fringes of the forest for a few years, silently foraging for food and traversing the territories of many resident males. This is why mortality rates are much higher among male’s transient floaters than among females. Thanks to Kolara Buffer Guide (Ravi Dharne) for clicking the Photographs and passing it to me a great help from his side. credits to Jignesh Patel for all of this |
