Mmmmm, as far I remember, I think is in the Ussurisky reserve, but I am quoting from memory, so I could be wrong. The sure thing is that Sikhote-Alin is the largest reserve, but definitely not the one with the highest Amur tiger density. [img]images/smilies/sad.gif[/img]

I wonder what the densisty was like before man hunted them to near extinction. I wonder if it is comparable to tigers in India.

Surrounding was shocked by the sudden alarm calls of langurs and deer. The gaur escaped from Jaws of Death and we were stunned to see the lifetime event.

Battered, bruised, vigilant, captain cool ....
I was with my daughter on this trip to Kanha in May 2014 .... on this third drive to Sarhi from Mukki ... repeatedly leaving Mukki at 3:30 AM to be first in line .... I had started feeling bad for pushing my daughter in the hot weather .... 3rd drive ... 9:30 AM and no more drives to Sarhi ... I was losing hope .... and there he was ...sitting on the side of the road .... next 45 minutes were a bliss ... never seen a sleepy child rise from slumber that fast .... rest we all know what Munna does best ....
*My daughter is back in boarding and I guess this is my way of showing that I am missing her

Kantezari female ... we were waiting at a waterhole when it started drizzling ..... chances of seeing a tiger became questionable .... many people came and left but we decided to wait .... came prepared to sit in the rain ....it paid off .......

Nice Images Phatio, I love the Katezari male.
I still have not been able to see a full standing shot of him, he is always laying, slouching or part of his body is cut from the shot. Everybody says he is massive.
The silhouette is a tough call, but looking at the squarish head, stout snout and large neck, it quite possibly can be Waghdoh.

All I want to see is Waghdoh hunt and fight. I hope I get to see one or both before hes done. He still looks to be in great shape, not as massive as he can be but he goes through drastic weight changes now.
