Mohawk is only slightly older than S8 right?  And I guess S8 would be same as S. Avoca's as I think he roams north out of Sabi from time to time too right?

@Mwk85 who’s the female Mohawk is attempting to court? Is it an Nkuhuma lioness or someone else? I can never recognize the females unless they have a very distinctive look.

Fairly certain it's one of the Nkuhuma lionesses. Not 100% positive on which one, though.

Mohawk and his sons. Safe to say Mohawk had his fair share of the zebra they ate, lol!

I think so but not sure because I don't remember exactly how many, but most likely all Nkuhuma subadults are Mohawk/Blondie's children. Maybe some of them could be Dark Mane's

DM did mate with RN and PE. I don’t recall if he mated with AE. So it’s possible he fathered one or more of these boys. I’m pretty sure he fathered the cubs Chela had in November/December 2019. As he was seen mating with her numerous times even with his very freshly broken foot. But I don’t think any of those cubs survived?

Third (3rd) and tenth (10th) slides are of Mohawk and sons

RE: Avoca male lions - WildLeonis - 04-11-2023

Mohawk and his sons never seem to be short of a meal. Lately they’ve been absolutely stuffed everytime we’ve seen them. And it’s getting harder to tell who is Mohawk and who are the subadults, especially when they’re laying in the grass, as they are getting so big. Probably almost the same size as their Mohawk now.

RE: Avoca male lions - Mapokser - 04-11-2023

Considering how things are going rn I think there's a decent chance Mohawk will form a coalition with his 4ish years old son.

He is spending a lot of time with the subs group and maybe is trying to bond with them.

The oldest son is big and at an age he can be a proper coalition partner, if this happen, in half a year they could even start to "think" about becoming dominant, Mohawk is still relatively young, healthy and in great condition, while his son will be a formidable lion in a few months.

Only issue here is if they can form a strong enough bond, but it is possible.
