Surviving against all odds. What a legend the Musketeer coalition is. Without a doubt, Morani is still doing his best to kept his legacy more alive than ever

Morani is rejoined by the lonely Rekero breakaway male! That young male is also a Musketeers’ son, born in Rekero breakaway pride and homing around Mara Triangle during adolescent years. He doesn’t have his own brother and badly need a friend as well. We observed this boy went back and forth coming across Morani for a few times, and finally it looks very promising that they are showing some kind of bonds. They hunted as a team, co-slept together, and rubbed hair to each other as coalition partners!
It's a miracle to observe anther father and son coalition to be formed, after the legend Notch2 and Spearboy team from previous year.

This picture was taken today by Jeffrey Wu, Morani (left) and his son bonding time.

Glad to see Morani and his son the Rekero breakaway male walking together. Amazing sighting!
It fills me with with joy to see Morani no longer on his own.

Morani is looking very healthy for a 13-14 years old lion! I believe Lolparpit and Olbarnoti are similar aged but are they dead? Also when was Notch2 last seen

RE: Other male lion coalitions from Masai Mara - BigLion39 - 11-03-2021

Lolparpit and Olbarnoti were both 15 years old born 2005. Lolparpit passed away last Nov (if I remember correctly) and then Olbarnoti disappeared into Mara North (after Lolparpit died) with a few of the Encoyanai liononesses with their Cubs. He hasn't been seen since and those lionesses have been seen. He probably is gone IMHO. N2 hasn't been seen since before Covid 2020 and was also approx 14/15 yrs old. Morani and his bros were supposedly born 2007/08 so he is 13/14 yrs old and has a promising future pariparing up with hisbyoung partner as long as he stays healthy.

1/5 Black Rock males, Oloimina.
It seems that his wounds on his face is healing nicely. Since his fight with Jesse, he has been seen staying close to his brothers, which is great to keep himself safe.
