RE: The Charleston Males - Spalea - 11-14-2016 @vinodkumarn: About#195: Power and explosiveness (explodability ?) I would say. As we can guess, perhaps these two males were quite quiet and sated and suddendly they explode against one another (the cub is just behind them, meaning perhaps that he didn't feel the coming wrath, nor the lioness). RE: The Charleston Males - Gamiz - 11-14-2016 The atmosphere was tense from the time these two boys met up early this morning. They are known as The Charleston Males of Sabi Sabi. For some reason the one did something that the females did not like, in particular Mandleve and she went for him. As if that was not enough - maybe more embarrassed that a lady slapped him hard he went for his friend. It was a quick tiff and over within seconds. No blood that I could see. I have wished for an interaction like this between two male lions for all my life and last week Wednesday (9/11) I got to see this. The sounds are something no one can explain or try to tell you, the intensity of this. When I phoned home later this day I was so overwhelmed, emotionally and cried so much that my husband could hardly hear me. I have an incredible series of photo's of this incident which I will share in due course. I am very thankful and grateful that I had the opportunity to have been in Sabi Sabi and at the right time in the right place (and in the right vehicle).
