We introduce you jaguars monitored by our team! Do you already know #WhoisThisJaguar? This is Robusto, #jaguar monitored by Onçafari since February 2020! Robusto is a very shy jaguar, difficult to spot, but always provides exciting encounters since he started using @caimanpantanal as part of his living area. He is one of the biggest jaguars monitored by our team! Can you guess the weight of this super cat? 137kg, a huge male! He is not so habituated, so we don't see him so often, but we are always very happy with his presence" *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author By Onçafari RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 04-01-2021 SOUTHERN PANTANAL Massive male spotted at Corumbá in 2011 *This image is copyright of its original author Vanderlei Moscard RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 04-02-2021 NORTHERN PANTANAL Huge male spotted by Cuiaba river, 2008 *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author By Susan *This image is copyright of its original author Colin Bushell RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 04-02-2021 Fantasma From 2013 to 2015 *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author By Onçafari RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 04-03-2021 Lightning July 2014, at 3 years of age *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author Russell Scott RE: Jaguar Directory - Dark Jaguar - 04-03-2021 (04-03-2021, 06:59 PM)Balam Wrote: Lightning Nice looking male with unique patterns, I only wished to know more of his interactions with his bro Seven and Seven's whereabouts after they dispersed from each other. EDIT: Here you can see both playing in 2011, cool knock out Seven gives to Lightning at end of their interaction though. I estimate him at 140+ kg during his prime (he reminds me of Joker), sadly he's most certainly dead by now as he was last seen in 2017. Here Mr. Barragan from the hato confirming me it's him: *This image is copyright of its original author "Beautiful.... I called him LIBRAO. Remembering a man very Llanero (rancher) for his abilities in livestock management and all alike activities..." Basically a charismatic and strong man from the area, I think the name suited him well! He also told me Caricare is alive and well in the reserve and the camera traps captured him numerous times last month, new pictures of him and other news will be released shortly. RE: Jaguar Directory - Dark Jaguar - 04-05-2021 @Balam The Beast is here. Here's my boy Hector male. credits: Ibrahim Suha Derbent Too bad he was hidden most of the time with leaves and branches in front but I am already happy to see him again regardless. *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author In this angle you can see Hector looks so cartoonish, even with his Head further away from the camera compared to his hind legs, it still looks massive. *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author Impressive Chest Width. *This image is copyright of its original author Note the massiveness of his body righ behind. I wonder how much his chest girth would be. *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author
RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 04-05-2021 Juru This month and last month March, 2021 "We spent the afternoon today observing the Juru, a male jaguar we have known since 2015. In 2019 the Juru marched his leg and spent a few months limping, possibly due to some interaction with another male, but he recovered. Today he was super relaxed resting in the shade and posing for the photos" *This image is copyright of its original author Here's Ailton speaking of how much larger he is now that he reached his prime at 6 years of age: *This image is copyright of its original author @Pckts he probably seemed small to you when you saw him because he was still very young, likely around 3 years of age. Juru yesterday: *This image is copyright of its original author _Fabiohq Seems like Juru went through the "Felino effect", a modest male disappears for a while and returns back looking much more massive and strong. RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 04-05-2021 NORTHERN PANTANAL Very good looking male seen a few days ago around Cáceres, he looks youngish my guess is between 3 to 4 years of age. *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author Daniel Atala RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 04-06-2021 Felino April, 2018 *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author By Tiago Machanoker RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 04-07-2021 Maxime Picture uploaded in 2018 but he was last seen in 2016 *This image is copyright of its original author Philip Harris RE: Jaguar Directory - Balam - 04-08-2021 NORTHERN PANTANAL Large male photographed by Douglas Trent, he was not healthy here as he presented two large ulcers on his nose: *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author He was able to ID this male as one he had photographed a few years back: *This image is copyright of its original author Full video RE: Jaguar Directory - Dark Jaguar - 04-08-2021 (04-08-2021, 03:10 AM)Balam Wrote: NORTHERN PANTANAL I am glad they're shooting documentaries at Taiamã Ecological Station Reserve as well. That area possess high levels of biodiversity. Impressive male though, his forehead pattern reminds me of Holyfield male. I wonder if he's already ran into the jags captured by CENAP/ICMBio at Taiamã Reserve. |
