On base on single photo? That is not enough. This with photos is there there always can be crooked perspective. I remember for example one in which BIg Boy Charleston was looking literally twice the size of his brother lol.

As @Potato said, this photo was taken on akward angle, and lioness is few meters away of him..
Young Jocks are quite impressive males, not the biggest around, but definitely not small either..

This was the last morning before the park closed for lockdown and we had all 5 males near Biyamiti Bridge at sunrise.

They are made of 3 coalitions (1+2+2), oldest one is believed to be 12- 13 yrs old, he is sort of their Makhulu, while others are 9-10.

Very nice photo ! By seeing it, I believe it's impossible to see in wild a male lion's face without scars. Scars which reconstitute its exploits and "feats of arms", in short its past of warrior.
