We stopped the vehicle and with the cubs not being as nervous as their mum, we got quite a few photographs. Until this moment. The little female on the left stood up and decided to have a closer look at us. With their sister being so brave, the other little female and the male were quick to join her, cautiously walking to our vehicle, until they were literally sniffing our headlights, always keeping an eye on us. This is one of the few moments I dropped my camera in the presence of lions. I was in complete awe of what was going on. We saw these lions on a seldom used road and I reckon we must have been the first vehicle these cubs had seen, hence their curiosity.
