Big fella Bhim Crossing the road RE: Wild carnivores and humans compared - Pantherinae - 01-09-2019 @Pckts I think this is a different vehicle, maybe to drive in the swamps. *This image is copyright of its original author Very big car RE: Wild carnivores and humans compared - Pckts - 01-09-2019 (01-09-2019, 01:17 AM)Pantherinae Wrote: @Pckts I think this is a different vehicle, maybe to drive in the swamps. I'm not sure about that, considering the guide, male and female are all the same height minus the man in blue, I'm sure they are all short as well. Here's a few others *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author Looks to be a little above waist level for a 6' ish man is my guess. A few more lions to compare below as well... *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author You'll like this one though, flattering angle but still a big fella Camp Xakanaxa in the Moremi Game Reserve - Luxury safari in Botswana Moremi Game Reserve *This image is copyright of its original author Did a little more research than I was expecting for late 80s early 90s Land Cruisers and their overall height is 72'' (6') or so, the hood height should be a little above half so around the 3'6'' mark is reasonable, land cruiser are already high riding trucks and these trucks don't look especially lifted just a few mods so they can drive through deep water without getting water in the air intake. I think the guy in a blue shirt is about the same height as the guy in the first picture just from different angles. The other pictuers I really don’t get tbh? I think the other cars you posted where large too? Especially the first one, which I think is the same as the one I posted (different colour) RE: Wild carnivores and humans compared - Pckts - 01-09-2019 (01-09-2019, 01:51 AM)Pantherinae Wrote:The hood looks to be around belly button height for men like this(01-09-2019, 01:30 AM)Pckts Wrote:(01-09-2019, 01:17 AM)Pantherinae Wrote: @Pckts I think this is a different vehicle, maybe to drive in the swamps. *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author Assuming both are 6'ish... I think it's a safe guess that hood height is between 3 1/2' to 4' at most, I'd guess most lions would be like the 2 males previously posted with exceptional ones coming close to the hood height. RE: Wild carnivores and humans compared - Pantherinae - 01-10-2019 Some sad, but interesting pictuers of hyenas compared with humans. I know the people are standing behind, but I found some with a cople of hyenas that seemed like big induviduals, and these seemed quite good to compare as they seem placed pretty close to eachother and and also taken from a good angle, (I got that about the angle comfirmed by my friend who is a photagapher haha, as I have no idea myself..) *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author Very impressive animals for sure. RE: Wild carnivores and humans compared - Pckts - 01-10-2019 Anant Kaushik Sighting the resident dominant Male is always special! A Resident Dominant Male plays a very very significant role and is the support on which vests the fortune, safety and survival of all the female tigers and their cubs in that area. If the resident dominant male starts to lose his ground - the other tigers are at a grave risk. This is the iconic dominant male of Tipeshwar who is firmly holding his ground for quite some time now. - the Star Male - January 2019 *This image is copyright of its original author Suzuki SUVs are generally 67'' Wide or so, they don't take up the whole lane but the Star Male does, a good estimate of his HBL should be around 6' or more.
