Hope nothing serious happened. RE: The Matimba coalition - Mapokser - 07-28-2023 Shaka had just been chased off by the Tintswalos, maybe he returned with his brother. RE: The Matimba coalition - T I N O - 07-29-2023 Nothing to worry about - I get a reply from the photographer - Image taken in 26th June 2023 ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author
RE: The Matimba coalition - Mapokser - 07-29-2023 @"Timbavati" so the roaring and fighting reported was also from last month? I guess so - That’s one of the reasons why asked him twice the date of the sighting. S. Matimbas weren't injured or ousted by the Mathshipiris. Did they even actually fight? IIRC there was some chasing back and forth with the Matimbas eventually retreating back to their territory. They lost the chance to expand and control the Ntsevus, but didn't lose any territory or prides (I think by that point they only controlled the Tsalalas.) BBoys moved South and the Matimbas went nomadic after a very short resistance. I don't think they fought the Mathshipiris or BBoys, just chasing and roaring battles. They weren't injured until they became nomads. Tsalala Pride was the biggest "loser" as it has never recovered from the BBoys invasion. Hopefully the Princess will be able to do what her great grandmother Bibi once did and the Southern Pride lioness is currently doing. Regardless, the bloodline is still going strong with the Manghenis & Kambulas. RE: The Matimba coalition - Mapokser - 08-12-2023 Northern Matimbas quenching their first. They were. After getting ousted by Bboys from the north, Matimbas established territory in Londolozi in 2015, took over Tsalala pride and ruled as dominant males for 1,5 years, having many encounters with Majingilanes and at least 2 encounters with Matshapiris where they chased Matshapiris off. Then in early 2017 the Matimbas suddenly went nomadic again, Matshapiris took over their territory and they were seen apart, with HB having a bad hindlimb when he was seen in Bboy territory being confronted by Nsuku over a carcass. I don't remember how Ginger's condition was, but the understanding at the time was that at least one of them got caught by Matshapiris which caused HB's limp and they going nomadic. I never thought they left for no reason I assumed they had pressure from the north east south east and west and something happened to make them leave |
