RE: Other male lion coalitions from Masai Mara - Spalea - 05-18-2016 @Majingilane @Ngala: about #160 and #161: Awesome and beautiful photos ! Some beautiful “grognards" (french name given to the soldiers in the trenches, veteran soldiers), soldiers of the old guard, beautiful hairy soldiers... RE: Other male lion coalitions from Masai Mara - Tshokwane - 05-21-2016 From Mara Triangle: Yesterday the Scar-face lion underwent treatment on his right eye where the wound had grown bad due to scratching. The lion was treated by DSWT Vet Dr.Limo together with Mara Conservancy rangers. According to the Vet this was the tenth time being treated. RE: Other male lion coalitions from Masai Mara - TheLioness - 05-21-2016 What a big boy scar is, one of my favorite males. Hope the wound heals all the way. Sedating a lion that many times might not be the best for him. But e sure looks healthy, so that is good! RE: Other male lion coalitions from Masai Mara - Roflcopters - 05-29-2016 Earless looks like an impressive specimen, is he the son of Notch? RE: Other male lion coalitions from Masai Mara - Tshokwane - 05-29-2016 Quote:Earless looks like an impressive specimen, is he the son of Notch?@Roflcopters Yes, as far as I know, he's the youngest son of old Notch, born in 2011. And I agree with you completely, he's a hulk. I'm sure I've posted this pic somewhere else, but I don't remember where, so here it goes. Notice the little mane, so he's much younger than now. Also, this pic makes me think of the thick limbs of the tigers like Jai, Bheema or Kingfisher that you can appreciate in videos. *This image is copyright of its original author And this video, to show how he dwarfs a lady. RE: Other male lion coalitions from Masai Mara - Ngala - 05-30-2016 Photo and information credits: Morkel Erasmus "On a mission" A male lion in the Mara Triangle following the scent of a lioness that kept coyly evading him. Photographed on a Wild Eye Great Migration photo safari I hosted with Marlon du Toit Photography in 2014. The male is known as "Sikio".
