RE: Nharhu Male Lions - T I N O - 11-14-2020 As per Chad Cocking. The lions that are roaring from the west could be the Vuyela pride. That's really interesting! They're are a coalition of five RE: Nharhu Male Lions - T I N O - 11-14-2020 The other Nharhu male rests while his brother feeds on the last of a young giraffe Image by: Christof Schoeman ![]() *This image is copyright of its original author

I initially thought guide mean roaring from direct west where are Giraffe pride with Monwana males while Vuelas are (or at least have been in last update on them quite a while ago) to the north-west from Tanda Tula. One of a new coalition of three males that have taken up residence @tanda.tula in the #Timbavati over the past few months, taking away a fair size chunk of the Mbiri males’ former territory. Will be some interesting times ahead in the lion world of this area... The Hercules and Sumatra male are on a really hard territory where they cannot conquered anything by any chance. The fact that the three Nharhu males have chased them away of the buffalo kill that both males made means a lot. Besides that Skorokoro (The injured Nharhu male) chased them away too are very good news. In the latest sightings of him he was limping a bit. So hopefully he will recover very well as the Sumatra male did RE: Nharhu Male Lions - BA0701 - 11-14-2020 (11-14-2020, 09:28 PM)TinoArmando Wrote:(11-14-2020, 09:18 PM)BA0701 Wrote: Hercules and Sumatra sure are having a really rough time of it lately. Do we know how old Hercules and Sumatra are, are they actual brothers? It seems that whatever happened when they were driven out of their pride, has made them really gun shy, especially given, as you said, that the three Nharhu males chased them off of their own kill. That is a big deal. Seems like every way they turn, they are running into trouble. They should take some lessons from Fang, and learn how to join them instead of being beaten by them. I am still amazed by that Fang video, that is behavior that I certainly had never seen, and from the sounds of the narrator, it was really shocking to them as well. Hercules isn't brother of the Sumatra. Hercules was born in 2015/16 being one of the oldest sons of the Trilogy males. The Sumatra male should be around 8-9 years old and on short words is as the step-father of Hercules. He raising him on some point RE: Nharhu Male Lions - BA0701 - 11-14-2020 (11-14-2020, 09:40 PM)TinoArmando Wrote:(11-14-2020, 09:36 PM)BA0701 Wrote:(11-14-2020, 09:28 PM)TinoArmando Wrote:(11-14-2020, 09:18 PM)BA0701 Wrote: Hercules and Sumatra sure are having a really rough time of it lately. Oh, OK, thank you for that @"TinoArmando" Hercules looks older than 4-5 to me, for some reason. What pride was Sumatra dominant over, that Hercules was born into? That is interesting that he raised Hercules like that, not a common occurrence.
