Probably the King of all leopards. I have seen two Persian leopards in a zoo - the finest specimens of this cat I have ever witness. Big, beautifull, powerful, elegant and most importantly - "noble", in them there is some "Persian nobleness", old Persian brilliance I would say, a truly Royal beast.

Today two leopards released to wildlife in North Ossetia-Alania.

In Alaniya National Park (Irafsky District of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania) two young leopards released to wild life - Volna female leopard and Elbrus male leopard. Both was born two years ago in The leopard recovery center (Sochi).
From birth this animals prepared for indepedent life in wild by a unique programm that practicaly esclude contact with human. Before release leopards succesfully passed some tests that include abillity to hunt and avoid peoples.

2:38 Isn't something strange with the movements of the second leopard? Seems like its hips move sideways to the left when it strides forward.

Definetely the persian leopard is the largest leopard ssp. Look at this specimen, unflrtunately killed by a poacher...

On helicopter 2 years old male leopard Artek was delivered to the ridge of mountain Ahcarva, where was prepared a special area for release. Earlier he successfuli passed tests like his sister Volna (#156).
Artek was released in the same area where there are already 2 leopards Killy and Ahun, released two years ago.
Artek is one of five kittens born in 2016 at the Leopard Recovery Center in the Caucasus.

Photos with persian leopard males with big devlap are quite rare, but such specimes seems to exist.
