RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - T_Ferguson - 04-25-2024 More of the 3+sister. RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Ngonya - 04-25-2024 and the show goes on, K4 remains the only one mating. What a lion he is, a true dominant male. RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Ngonya - 04-26-2024 Kambula 4 with Nkuhuma lioness. Hes looking really impressive, mating certainly gives a boost for a male lion! He is turning into a beast RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Mapokser - 04-26-2024 Any litter conceived at this time may not even survive since the other brothers might not accept them. RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Duco Ndona - 04-26-2024 I think that's only a issue if they never reunite until any cubs are born and introduced. Which is still months away. Then again, such a split cannot be ruled out. At this point.. who knows if the 4 of them will ever reunite. I wouldn't rule anything out with this group. The interesting thing is that you have K4 and Khanya both mating with Nkhuma's, and K3, K5, K6, and sister trying to get beat up by the Gijima's again. K5 was with K4, but it was said K4 was beating him up over the ladies, and then K5 re-appears with the rest of their group. It's an odd situation. I guess we'll just see how it plays out. K5 manages to find the separated brothers and returns to them instead of continuing with K4 and Nkuhumas and maybe waiting the other two brothers to reunite north. Surely the sister is holding them back, she needs to leave for good RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Ngonya - 04-26-2024 K4 by EllyMzila *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author
RE: Birmingham Coalition Male Lineage - Duco Ndona - 04-26-2024 1 to 3, for now. Though its always possible K4 reunites with the rest. Or that some of his brothers join him. The two groups are living entirely different lives at the moment. K4 is acting like a matured male lion, seeking out sex and territory and now he has been seperated, he gets to live that life. I don't think its a coincidence that the one most interested in lionesses ends up being found with the lionesses rather than the rest of the group. Which as K5 demonstrated, apparently isn't that difficult to reconnect with. While the others are still not ready yet to be territorial, and are mostly just wandering along surviving and avoiding other lions. With the groups having such different conflicting priorities and goals at the moment, it makes sense that they aren't in a hurry to reunite. I don't think the sister has anything to do with it. Any of those males can now be the first to just leave the others and join K4, leaving the sister in the care of the others. But for some reason, they just don't. Oh man, the way she comes on screen and just flops sideways is literally the funniest thing I have seen in days. It is so comical it almost doesn't looks real. Thank you for this, I definitely needed it! Though its always possible K4 reunites with the rest. Or that some of his brothers join him. I think sister definetly plays the role. As we saw in their first visit north and NK last year, if they show up with sister, sister chases NK females, who obiviously run when they see female and 3,4 pretty much adult males. Then males need to break from the group and find females alone, as K4 did and is doing. Some males are not ready or confident enough to do that, so they just stick with the group. Those who follow K4, get beating from him so they just return back to the group, as we saw with K5 now. I think its mixture of 3 things: - some males not quite ready/confident enough - bond with their sister, they still see themselves as pride - K4 dominance over mating females |
