Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

CANNIBALISM IN ANACONDAS

Found this video a few days ago. It shows a man opening the stomach of a large anaconda with a machete. The anaconda could have been alive when the man started his work (...). I don't like it one bit, but decided to post it anyhow.

I know some snakes hunt others, but never read anything about cannibalism in anacondas. The anaconda eaten wasn't a small animal:

Captured in the Venezuelan Llanos in Hato El Frio, Apure. It measured 5,35 mts long and weighted 62 kg, longest one we have captured, it was very thin we believe that she was pregnant and had babies before we captured her because when they are pregnant they dont eat anything for 6 mionths and lose a lot of weight.

Green Anaconda 3 mt long, sometimes you can find anacondas hidden among the trees to stay away from the extreme heat of the plains of Venezuela, we captured and relocated it to a big laggon full of water..

Big Powerful Female 4,65 mt long 80 kilograms, when we captured her (two persons that work in the Ranch and me) we had a big scare because it coiled around the arm of one of them and we had to move fast to take her away from him. We always take pictures of the Anacondas after about 20 minutes of the capture when it is calm and tired and does not try to attack.
